Eventually realised the correct green, which required breaking up my red herring. But was nearly completely lost for blue and purple, until I took a shot on an incorrect answer that happened to be 1 away

I was trying “dog names”, which I was pretty sure was wrong. I started from “cliff” and “spot”, and then just added in “dick” and “jane” since people names can be dog names too. One away allowed me to think about it and realise the “face” thing.
