I made the trellis removable because they’re ass to install and I figured it’s the flimsiest part of the build.

I did two coats of tung oil with about 24hrs to dry between. I used like 300ml of oil on this thirsty mf because pallet wood is dryyyyy af so a third or fourth coat wouldn’t have made it. The planter box and shelf are also coated in two layers of polyurethane shed sealant, though thinking about it now I might have just sealed out the air that the oil needs to cure 🫪

The feet are a little brittle because it’s end grain against the ground, but they’re reinforced with glue and a frickload of timber screws that came in a hyper masculine packaging… which means it’s invincible, right?
