    Not all but a lot. It also is blended differently to pollute less, so it costs more. Importing oil from other states to be refined is also more difficult.

          you see how california is its own market right there, right? all the oil gets imported through oakland, they’ve got a big refinery complex in the bay area and one down near taft, not entirely sure what’s in southern california but it’s fairly isolated from the rest of the country. your map illustrates my point.

            CA gets some oil from Alaska. My point is that other states can move oil around pretty easily, but not CA.
