If you loved “Dune,” and think you are cool enough to identify with the Fremen, consider that these people are sacrificing everything stand up to the empire.
We owe them this, at the very least, to take 5 minutes so sign a petition. Congress can divert money from the war and we can spend it on something useful/constructive (like alternative energy infrastructure).
In this analogy, I believe we are the worms
The Fremen are more like traditional/indigenous Iraqi tribes. Not like the Iranian empire.
Then, the Iranian empire are a more oppressive Atreides, and US and Israel are the Sardaukar and Harkonnen?

Timelike Infinity is a good book. It’s hard sci-fi and can get a bit wordy, but the book is still pretty good.
