I’m actually impressed no major company has set up a service where you send them the text history of your deceased loved ones (or all the communications on their phone if you can unlock it) and set up an LLMs that sound like then and knows enough about them for the grieving people to have a ghost they can talk to.

Because you have just kidnapped this digital clone of a real person, and you are now blackmailing their family members, while a whimpering, muffled, crying digital clone of their friend or partner or kid is in the background, responding in real time to you ‘smacking them around’.
You can even send pictures of you and your ‘hostage’.

If you can disrupt or disable the ‘kidnapped’ person’s ability to communicate digitally for… 8, 12, 24, 48 hrs… thats often enough to scare one of their loved ones into throwing a whole lot of money into some account, for the ‘kidnappers’.
