MAGA has been swooning over photos of a blonde U.S. Army soldier, walking defiantly alongside President Donald Trump to carry out the America First agenda. But there’s just one problem — she’s AI.
Images most likely generated by artificial intelligence depicted Jessica Foster wearing heels on a U.S. warship in the Strait of Hormuz, posing for selfies with Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, and giving a speech at the president’s “Board of Peace” event earlier this year.
The account, which has since been taken down, gained more than one million followers since its mysterious creator started posting on it four months ago, The Washington Post reports.
Why is it the right that has embraced this technology while the left looks like fucking luddites and is losing ground?
Fascists are not constrained by having to respect reality.
“This technology” is, as used here, industrial scale lying which was made possible through industrial scale theft.
We can re-phrase the question: “Why is the right jumping headlong into industrial scale lies and crime, while the left loses ground on this front?”
An answer suggests itself to me.
We can be on a moral high ground all we want but it does not change the fact that they are winning.
I hate it.
I don’t think it’s strictly about “moral high ground.” If you’re willing to do anything to win, then if you do win, the winner will be a person who is willing to do anything.
Because the right is easier to grift.
Because it’s tailor made for grifters, it’s a lying machine, just like everything else made for and by conservatives.
The goal of technology is to make our lives better, not make everyone else’s worse. Or so I’ve been led to believe.
Cyberpunk had always said otherwise. I just wanted to believe that wasn’t true.
