Hewwo everynyan! This is a segment from my Twitch stream. In this video I talk about UK's new leftist party "YourParty." A party for the ordinary people, excep...
I honestly don’t really see how expecting basic support for LGTBQ rights from a western left party is trying ruin a socialist movement. As I said elsewhere, just saying that trans women are women and should be treated as such shouldn’t be a controversial position for a western left party. If a left electoral party refuses to stand up for people under attack (either in country or abroad) then it’s fair for people to question why they would want to support them. Criticizing the people wanting to hold them accountable strikes me as similar to the tired “blue no matter who” shaming that American liberals routinely do.
i dont mind criticising politicians, but it is a bit silly to claim that a non-existent party is already ruined. there is a lot of sensationalism over it and to me its very illogical and annoying.
Yeah I agree that maybe “ruined” is a bit hyperbolic but I definitely get the disappointment when they can’t even agree on something so basic starting out (to me at least). That’s just how electoralism goes, though, so I really shouldn’t be surprised.
personally i am waiting for the first congress to see what their program and strategy will be. since corbyn and sultana are planning to do it democratically, you cant really predict how the party will look like before it exists
I’m not sure it is controversial. The controversy is manufactured by wreckers who use divisive speech on social media to discredit leftist groups. They’re even explicit in the title here that that’s their aim
Hmmmmm… I’m sorry but I’m a bit confused. If it isn’t controversial, then why is it so difficult for this supposedly left politician to simply say “trans women are women” instead of trying to force these women to use the men’s bathroom?
there is no party to be already ruined lol, what are you talking about
This is one of the more blatant attempts to use IdPol to wreck (“ruin”) socialist movements.
