    They’re less scary and more conducive to good form, while also giving all the benefits that people are deadlifting for.

    We think straight-bar lifts are the ‘proper’ one because they’re in the sport of powerlifting, but if you’re lifting for strength and not to compete, then why be constrained by the rules of that sport?

    I think I remember Rob Kearney saying somewhere that people shouldn’t deadlift because it’s too dangerous – not unless they specifically need to deadlift for their sport.
