    its only if you are WHITE MALE, they do everything in thier power to avoid even arresting you. only if your not too poor or trashy that is. poc, minotirties,etc is all fair game.

      It’s actually wild how much it can matter; I’ve personally seen cops get ready to line people up because of drinking in a park, then change demeanour and tell everyone to clean up and move along because they told everyone to get up, and noticed the two white guys in the group.

      And I live in one of the countries ranking in top 10 on all the different “best place to live” lists.

    This is a total flip of the intention of the source material, but in this moment (in the film) it reads in the character’s voice. I think this is a good message buried in a questionable meme, unless I’m missing something. I’m old, so i used to be meta, but then they changed what meta was, and now what is meta is strange and scary to me.

      i can’t recall the specifics but i don’t think you’re the first person i’ve seen to note this meme format is misused due to people who don’t know the source material well enough/don’t care

      similar to how the spider-man glasses meme is also often used backwards

    in 2015 in 50% of officer-involved homicides the victim was neither armed nor resisting.

    Police violence has been getting progressively worse since, including through the Biden era (though very much through Trump regime years).

    I am not a us citizen and I don’t live there; I am thankful for my luck.

    But even I have seen enough us police recordings to know that the us is so fucked in that regards. They will ask you to do shit and if you do that, they will get nervous as fuck because you might have a gun or something. If you don’t do what they tell you, they get nervous because you are resisting.
