Ive been listening to chapo since circa 2019, on and off as of late, and cant really shake the feeling theyre getting close to ending. Maybe in the next year or so as theyve been focusing on movies as of late.

If they do, great and if they dont also great. Its their project and I support whatever choice they make. But it is a vibe Im getting.

In what way? People say Chapo hasnt adapted to the current zeitgeist but if anything, I feel like they dive too much in trying to adapt to a more current style that theyre not really comfortable with.

Honestly at times I wish they would do more media reviews and such. Theres not really much humor to be found in the current political environment. And they really just arent equipped without Matt to dive into anything deeper. Which is generally what most leftists pods are up to these days. And when Felix tries to offer up some real deep take by stating that “all of modern american politics is a reaction and counter reaction to 2020” for the 5 millionth time, it comes off kinda cringe worthy. Like yeah thats how history works lmao. Its a chain of events that respond to each other. Or when Will tries to interview guests and doesnt really have any questions beyond the surface level.

Its not so much that theyre stuck in 2016. Its moreso akin to Motley Crue trying to do grunge in the 90s when they should have just stuck to playing their old hits for the crowd that they had.
