Ive been listening to chapo since circa 2019, on and off as of late, and cant really shake the feeling theyre getting close to ending. Maybe in the next year or so as theyve been focusing on movies as of late.
If they do, great and if they dont also great. Its their project and I support whatever choice they make.But it is a vibe Im getting.
The core appeal of golden era Chapo was that it had all these different types of leftists playing off of each other. Matt as the angry ranting one, Amber as the blunt Midwest radical, Felix as the dumb-funny shitpost humor leftist, Virgil as the policy wonk leftist, and Will as sort of ringleader. But Virgil’s gone, Matt is understandably sparsely there, Amber is barely on. Having just Will and Felix doesn’t bring enough variety.
I was just about to say, other than not wanting to split earnings down further I dont really know why they havent tagged in another host. It would save felix and will a lot more headache on having to prepare material and spice the show up. They could still keep Matt and Amber on even in their current status.
The only thing I can think of would be the compensation. But Im sure something could be figured out if they really wanted to.
It occurred to me that they might want to avoid diluting the revenue share as that’s probably what’s paying for Matt’s medical care.

I think a particularly bad one i remember is from a few months ago right after the us election where she said that Universities would not expel students for being pro-palestine and we all know how well that aged
I dont think Amber meant it in any sort of like “harmful” or mean spirited way. I just dont think shes particularly educated on this issue. Which is fine, afaik shes still anti zionist and pro palestine from what I gather. But in that case she should really shut up on this issue.
I also remember another like about a year ago when Will interviewed a student protestor at the beginning and mentioned it on the main show and she said something like “I hope you didnt pick a weirdo”. Kind of a strange thing to say but whatever.
