It’s cringe how so many cities have grifted billions in aid of “let’s build some window dressing for the olympics/the world cup/the millennium, and it will totally be used afterwards so actually it’s like a public investment” only for all of it to just be pointless landlord shit that could have just been affordable housing or public parks
