This makes me want to move to china more than I ever really have. I just cannot visualize this level of urbanism ever coming to the US, I can easier envision apocalypse. I’m not convinced I’d like everything about China but there is an allure to just living in a modern functional society that is on its way up rather than one that’s falling by the wayside and having fascist tantrums on the way down. And assuming the CPC believers are right, I’d be in a great place to witness and contribute in some tiny way to the future of socialism
