Will the ram shortage induce a return to resource efficiency concerns? I personally think not, but it nice to dream of the era when the efficiency of code was an important skill!
The entire Android ecosystem is Java/Kotlin. I can’t believe pointing this out is still relevant in 2026, but those are inherently terrible for memory use. To some degree, the apps themselves can be optimized, but I don’t think that’s really going to do much in the grand scheme of things…
