Laughing at that last one cause if I dont, I’ll just get bummed. Not without his faults, but he was a good dad.
But anyways, yeah! The diagnosis isn’t official, testing won’t wrap up until December, but it’s…I dunno, validating? I always thought a lot of what AuDHD people said about their thoughts and behaviors was similar to me, plus we recently had the clinical result of “giving corgi Adderall makes him functional,” and yeah. Who knows, maybe my bipolar diagnosis was a misdiagnosis, or brought on by wellbutrin (the only time I KNOW for sure I was manic was 4 weeks into wellbutrin).
Mentally I’m proceeding as if the diagnosis is confirmed, but really it doesn’t change much for me. Been in therapy for a while now, my course of meds seem to work and has room for tweaks (my body takes changes pretty well).
I feel like I have more feelings about this but don’t really know how to name them yet. Im sure they’ll sort themselves out.
You know what I’m going through with my dad obviously, so I get it. Wishing well for you.
Thanks homie. He’s fine after a stint in the hospital last week, but his dementia is getting worse and they signed DNR papers yesterday, so it all just feels like one more step towards the inevitable.
Heyo another person with bad wellbutrin experiences! Everyone always loves it. For me it was like I was bumping coke for the first 72 hours, followed by the strangest mixed-episode-esq two weeks. Then I cold turkeyed it and never looked back. Fuck that med.
For me, it just kinda did nothing, and then 4 weeks in, I definitely had a manic episode. Had never had one before, but I knew some shit was going on in my brain. Made a good day out of it, marched in a few local protests and went around buying homeless folks what they asked for.
Oh but that’s rough. Glad you recognized it and made the best of it.
I’m glad it was quick for ya, and it was put to use. I was just, weird and off
cw si mention
And trying not to off myself tbhtbh.
The first couple days were amazing tho! Got so much done, and felt great, talked everyone’s ear off, it was nice.
Glad you made it through! Sending love

Screw that drug. Mine was nothing, nothing, nothing, for a week or two, then the first panic attack of my life that lasted two days (yay…). Felt like a heart attack.
One of us! One of–wait, I’m still undiagnosed.
And sorry to hear about your dad, comrade.
I’m still undiagnosed.
Self diagnosis is valid!
And thanks. Talking more about it to my ma rn
