About:config > identity.fxaccounts.enabled > disabled
this disables ‘‘accounts’’ and features that use it. if you only want to hide the sign-in banner in the menu while keeping account features available, that requires a userChrome.css edit:
#appMenu-fxa-sign-in-promo{display:none !important;}Is there any downside to disabling it if you don’t intend to have an account?
nope. you can always just re-enable if you ever need to.
Thank you so much!
Also look into forks of Firefox. The other comment is a perfectly valid solution, but wanted to give you an alternative.
Growing very dissatisfied with Firefox lately and the fact that every few months I have to go and disable all the new bullshit they stuffed in.
I just had to disable the new Nova bullshit yesterday.
