My local grocery store has 2 Xmas bays already
I hate Christmas because shit like this. I was looking for Halloween stuff last year and it had already been switched to Christmas. Halloween hadn’t happened yet!!!
Last few days in August is usually when the first Christmas candy appears.
Already started stocking.
Usually first days of September. Might be a week early. Usually I’d buy some stuff right away. But my brain is good at remembering numbers, so I know they made it yet more expensive, …again. So it’s going to take me a while to give in and pay the ~>25% extra compared to a few years ago.
Also still need to buy copious amounts of Halloween candy for the kids in the neighbourhood.
Halloween really isn’t that big here, I’ve had 1 trick or treater in the last 10 years. Am British
Hmmh. I live in Germany and I think it’s down to the exact street. One or two streets away from me there isn’t a lot of activity. We, on the other hand, have lots of families with kids live here, they’ll put up decoration in their front yard, put on a costume and their kids will raid my street and the next one. Dunno, it somehow started and now we can’t back out. And I have a hunch they brought some schoolmates from less candy-“privileged” neighbourhoods as well. That’d explain why it’s so many. We’re probably looking at something like 100-200 kids? I’ll try to count them this time.
halloween was stocked 2 months in advanced, since halloween, fall bleeds over to christmas.(mostly pumpkin related foods)
They started last month.
Around nowish
Buy easter eggs now 😂
and next years valentine and christmas.
