An investigation identified Andreas Maul, a town councillor for Germany’s far-right AfD party, as the man behind a Serbian company sanctioned for aiding a Russian alleged cybercrime service provider.

The company, Aeza Group, was sanctioned by the US in July last year for allegedly providing infrastructure for cybercrime groups involved in ransomware, personal information theft and the drug trade.

A year earlier, the German investigative media outlet CORRECTIV, based on an analysis by the Swedish digital forensics NGO Qurium, reported that Aeza Group had supported a wide-ranging, ongoing Russian covert influence and disinformation campaign launched after Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022 and known as ‘Doppelganger".

Maul was born in the Kazakh city of Rudny, near the Central Asian state’s northern border with Russia.

On his private TikTok and Telegram profiles, Maul goes by the name Андрей, or Andrej.

Maul holds a German passport and lives in Selm, where he runs two companies – cleaning firm Maul Services UG, opened in 2018, and the business consultancy PHRIS Consulting, registered in January 2021. Both are registered at Maul’s residential address.

On the official website of the Selm local authority, Maul is listed as a member of several committees of the Selm local assembly since November 13, 2025. On a Facebook page of the local AfD branch, Maul is shown at an AfD event in Selm in May this year inviting people to register as stem cell donors.

Always makes great reading how individual AfD members have their little dirty fingers in all kinds of anti-democratic initiatives. Nothing new there. The challenge is that individual afd voters are unimpressed; they do not regard this as a danger at all; they live in a tiny world in which the big picture has no value.

Because their extreme nationalism does zero sense. It’s nothing but a scam targeting idiots. So you question is basically: Why are the professional liars for profit always the ones lying for profit?

How much more evidence, oh states of germany and government, is needed to start the process? Merz wants to go down into history not just as the worst chancler, the first who needed 2 attempts to be voted in, but also the modern Paul von Papen

Maybe even worse than von Papen, because von Papen did not know about any such previous case. Merz on the other hand, seems to either actively ignore it or even endorse it.

Hitler did try to putch to emulate mussolini. So that had a previouse case. But yeah what nazis do once in power was, back then, still unchartet territory

“Conservatives” will never ever do anything against nazis, fascists or other far-right extremists because they think the same and are simply too cowardly to speak it out. Instead they will hide behind a veil of alleged moderate ‘middle-class’ attitude to get to power. And they will drop that act like it never was a thing the moment it’s time to rule with their far-right friends.

Your views on the world and about ideas and people are as extreme and similair to the once you see as enemys as they are naive.

The founding fathers and mothers of germany and many resistance members were conservatives just as there were progressivs. And even in modern day we still have a vast part of conservativ parties that hard line against fascists. Even the BIW party in germany, who is even more faar right than CDU, is and has upheld its hard course against fascist even when they were up for the choice of gaining more power with them. This alone underminds your whole narative.

Walter Lübcke, a conservativ party member, a victim of nazi terror, just like many other humans with him.

The fight is not “left vs right” no it is democrats vs fascist and other dictator lovers.

I’d advise you to step out of your online bubble and talk with people :) Spread love and not further hate. Unity instead of divison and allianation

The founding fathers and mothers of germany […] were conservatives and ex-nazis just as there were progressivs.

And even in modern day we still have a vast part of conservativ[e] parties that hard line against fascists.

Which vast part is that? The one that happily agreed when the C*U leadership tried to push deportation laws with AfD support? The C*U that happily jumped onto the band-wagon of a far-right campaign to cancel their own candidate for the constitional court? Or the C*U that spend the last years parroting every single far-right culture war topic the fascists invented? Maybe it’s the C*U that is constantly trying to normalise the idea of cooperating with those AfD nazis, so they can instantly pretend it was only Merz that rejected them the moment they get rid of that worst chancellor ever? Oh, wait… I know! It’s the C*U that refuses to initiate the evaluation to get them banned for being unconstitutional. Because why would their help to ban their future coalition partner?

Even the BIW party in germany

Can we talk about actually relevant parties instead of some local splinter group of an already irrelevant local right-wing party with a double-digit number of members and barely more votes than that?

Walter Lübcke, a conservativ party member, a victim of nazi terror, just like many other humans with him.

And guess who stayed mostly silent while there was a loud outcry from left parties? The C*U. And guess who even recently dared to accuse left parties of not having reacted at all when Lübcke was killed? Some minor C*U politician called Friedrich Merz.

I’d advise you to step out of your online bubble and talk with people

I’d advice you to get help for your mental issues. Oh, wait… you better don’t as the nazi supporters you are trying to excuse will come for those with documented mental issues quickly.
