Just a small frog hopping from post to post. Because it may be Wednesday my Dudes!

Sometimes in German, sometimes in English.

  • In Germany there is a saying that goes like

    Seagate, oder Seagate nicht

where "Seagate" sounds like "sie geht" ("she works"; the word "hard drive disk" is femininum in German).

So it translates to "She works, or she does not work." or "Sometimes they work, sometimes they do not work"

  • klopf klopf

"Polizei, öffnen Sie sofort die Tür! Sie haben den Führer ähhh das Staatsoberhaupt verleumdet!"

  • For my untrained eyes this looks quite similar to the screenshots provided here?

  • Which distro did you use? Manajro by any chance?

  • Just FYI, Jörg Sprave is a German right-wing prepper and sells weapon kits to turn non-lethal, legal hobby weapons into lethal illegal weapons.

  • This is both horrible and impressive.

After approximately 10 minutes, Quảng Đức's body was fully immolated and it eventually toppled backwards onto its back. Once the fire subsided, a group of monks covered the smoking corpse with yellow robes, picked it up and tried to fit it into a coffin, but the limbs could not be straightened and one of the arms protruded from the wooden box as he was carried to the nearby Xá Lợi Pagoda in central Saigon.

  • I love this guy even more:

Legally changing his name to Sa Tan, he had planned to run under the Rhino banner [...].The lawsuit was filed as a result of the removal from the national party registry by Mr. Kingsley. Since Salmi had legally changed his name, the lawsuit was filed as Sa Tan vs. Her Majesty The Queen.

  • My boss had a serious talk with my team lead that went something like "stop scheduling meetings that start or end directly to another scheduled event unless its something company-ruining urgent".

She is very considerate regarding other peoples time and always tries to leave at least 15 minutes between any meeting most of the time. She also demands a good reason and a short agenda for each meeting. If you cannot deliver this, she will not attend the meeting. On the other hand, "I feel lost and need to vent" is a valid reason for her.

I think she has something like ADHD herself and knows how draining subsequent meetings are. I have great respect for her and her achievements.

Muss man da eigentlich was beachten, oder kann man das nach bestem Gewissen selber machen?

  • I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as dying, is in fact, cardiac arrest/asphyxia, or as I've recently taken to calling it, CA plus asphyxia.

  • I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX. Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called “Linux,” and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project. There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use.

Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine's resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called “Linux” distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.

Sorry, it had to be done. (But is actually misquoted)
