NoJ is great and you’re basically set for life if you get in.
NoA is mostly contractors, if you’re not high management or extremely specialized consulting, it’s no better than any other American AAA gaming studio. Really shows how culture and regulations keep companies honest.
I see someone didn’t watch at least a half-dozen films about Japanese zaibatsus, starting with Kurosawa’s ‘The Bad Sleep Well’.
Labor laws, whatever you want to call them. Main point is that it’s not normal for companies to layoff 10, 20, 50% of its workforce while reporting record profits.
Can I believe Japanese companies resisted that? Sure. But something had them lose out compared to the US’slobbying.
