the recent latin american elections and the deplatforming/capturing/gating of social media are proving how much technological sovereignty matters and i wondering if it’s even possible since technology requires standardization through governing bodies that are also proven to be capture-able.
The only way I see this is happening is through mass movements like MAS in Bolivia who are able to organize at scale, do general strikes, and drive western puppets out of power.
The emergency laws made the Bolivians go into retreat and I hope it’s less of a complete retreat than that of the Venezuelans.
Seems like the worker movement is a lot stronger in Bolivia, and they actually ran US puppet out of the country already.
