Agreed, I think we should differentiate between liberal democracy and democratic centralism as two alternative approaches to the same broad idea. The west has basically monopolized the term and intentionally conflates the idea of democracy with its own implementation which is now visibly failing.

I prefer the term proletarian democracy (or workers’ democracy, if talking to normies who might be alienated by the use of the word proletariat).
oh for sure, it tends to be a lot less triggering so you might actually get to a place where you can talk through the idea before they shut down
