Good Samaritan laws doesn’t protect stuff the donor has reason to believe is unfit for human consumption.

    Also, just cook the lettuce.

      Yum! Slimy lettuce!

Genuinely, I don’t know how you would go about cooking lettuce into a dish. Spinach or kale I get since they are tougher leaves, but I can’t say I’ve ever heard of cooked lettuce.

Soup, you can also just stirfry at high temp, it will still be crunchy if you fully cook it in about 90 seconds at like 375 degrees.

It’s a traditional dish in the southern Appalachians and is called kilt (killed) lettuce, usually made by pouring hot bacon grease over lettuce.

Fry some cubed potato in the grease first, maybe throw in carrot and other veggies, then add to the lettuce for a really good, but unhealthy salad.

Mmmmmm cooked lettuce, my favorite. Also NGL green leaf veggies are something I get direct from the farmer although I’m now living in a drastically different society than western society with mechanically processed and bagged lettuce.
