Of course, but being in the armed forces is a career. There is a real possibility that drones and robots could fulfill the roles of soldiers and wouldn’t need to be paid to perform that role. However on the flip side, you’d need people to maintain and operate them.
Drones and robots will put soldiers out of a job soon. I joke, but what use is a human if a drone(s) can do this kind damage?
Gonna need someone to be ready to flip the switch on the drone’s AI when it decides to target schools and hospitals.
They’re not autonomous, for one thing. Also, I doubt many soldiers will complain about not having to be in dangerous assaults.
