congrats to 32 chunk! i was worried about him at the begining of the season when he turned up with his dodgy jaw. but he started off about as fat as some other bears finish, so he had time to recover and i’m glad to see him thriving now <3
still PISSED that my beloved 602 scubadoo and the 910/909 duo and grazer all got knocked out. but. whatever i guess
Chunk is of course beary cute and hug shaped, but I wish 128 Jr had gotten a little further. I mean, yeah, the Fat Bear Jr champion never stands up long against the adults, but, like, proportional gain is a perfectly good criteria, even if my criteria of “most hug shaped bear” isn’t the way most people vote for the Fattest Bear. I’m just impressed he won a round against any adult bear involved. He’s so much bigger than he was in spring, but still smaller than the other competitors, and people generally just vote in Fat Bear Week for the most massive tub of bear fat. (I always vote in Fat Bear Jr. The decision of which cub is most hug shaped is actually a bit tricky!)
But I am glad Chunk won. He is definitely The Fattest Bear. And he looks adorable in his picture. Needs a snoot boop.
