  • If you dont like the EU, you are more likely to find anti EU posts on social media to be factual. If you like the EU more, you are more likely to find these posts to lie.

Hardly anyone validates the information. They just compare it to their current feelings about an issue. Move the feelings and you move the interpretation of the information, irrespective of whether specific pro- or anti-EU content was factual or not.

In so far i would also not conclude from these surveys, that Bulgarians are more likely to fall for propaganda or people from other EU countries to be less likely falling for it.

  • Can we please talk first about whether we want to discuss the existence of this so called climate change? After we have decided whether we want to talk about it, we should talk about what we acknowledge as part of it and what not. Of course only if we decide that we do want to talk about talking about it first. If people are unhappy with this procedure i wantto first bring it to debate though.

  • Yeah most definetely not. There is a lot of people from the surrounding countries working in Switzerland, but living outside of Switzerland to take advantage of the power of the Franken compared to the Euro.

Doing the opposite really weakens your income, so people in Switzerland tend not to work outside of Switzerland.

  • Knowing pretty much nothing else about Wales, their national animal is undoubtedly the most badass.

Also probs to Greece for having the only animal living in the sea.

  • Police and Firefighters beating each other up, Farmers dropping shit in city centers, high rate of poverty, crime and corruption. No safe drinking water from the tap in many areas in the south of France. Energy instability due to failing nuclear power in combination with electrical heating. Inefficient bureaucracy, violent and extremely racist Police...

  • The police banned a jewish demonstration against violence in the middle east.-German article

A jewish women demonstrating was arrested by the police.

German government leadin social democrats boycott jewish Bernie Sanders becausenof Israel

City of Bremen denies rooms to Hannah Arendt Prize jewish investigative Journalist Masha Gessen-German article

As @Quokka said it is a crackdown on anti-zionism, not on anti-semitism. Instead the German government is happy to commit anti-semitism, by persecuting and silencing jews, who are critical of Israel.

For further read i highly recommend this analysis on the anti-semitism officers in Germany, whose job it is to protect Germanys way of repenting for the Holocaust by blind support for Israel and to deny real antisemitism by Germanys far right and conservative political actors.

  • Germany hardly criticised Israel for how it wages war. Instead Germany is still one of the few countries left calling for "humanitarian fire pauses" instead of a ceasefire. It is the German government that cracked down extensively on protests against the genocide and that threatens to deport people if they don't pledge allegiance to Israel. It is the german public broadcasting that is simply not reporting on Israeli war crimes, and that didnt report for month on the number of Palestinians killed by Israel, while at every occasion talking about the 07. October.

Now the German government came out harshly criticising the charge by South Africa, instead of waiting for the court to reach its decision. The aid that did go to Palestine is laughable compared to the military aid Israel receives.

  • Have you been to France?

  • As the only way to create money is for the central bank to grant the government a loan, it goes even further. If the government has no debt, nobody has any currency to pay with. It is a surefire way to destroy the entire economy.

Also Germany has been able to take on loans at interest rates well below inflation, or for some years even at negative interest rates. So it has gotten and still gets money in real terms from taking on government debts. You realize, that when you take out a loan for 1 Billion but you only have to pay back 900 Million, you made 100 Million?

  • It was a strategic plan, conquering some area in Africa to then deport people there. First all refugees, then all people livingin Germany with a residency permit and finally all Germans who are deemed to not be of german blood or hold the wrong political opinion.

The aim of the meeting was to organize funding to further this idea and to inroduce it in the political parties and society.

When asked about the legality of deporting Germans, the speaker said to devise "tailored laws" for that.

So it is not a specifically thought out plan, but to get people together and define the overal intent and organize towards it. Think of it like a kick-off meeting. Just that representatives from supposedely democratic parties, one of the far right and one that used to be conservative came together.

It is expression of acute risk of a replay of the 1920s where the "conservatives" helped the fascists into power.

  • The hearing of Israels defence will be tomorrow on 12.01.2024 starting at 10am.

  • I think the two main dimensions of the problem space are "is this particular travel necessary/advantageous" and "how interchangeable are the mobility options".

In Germany, where most cities are still car hellhole disasters we dont move away from cars, because the car dominant focus blocks both dimensions. I was amazed how in Spain you have small shops for day to day groceries everywhere as well as vibrant markets. in Germany groceries are done primarily in large supermarkets with large parking lots somewhere near larger streets. Meanwhile pedestrians are pushed to small sidewalks and cyclists somehow pushed in between sidewalks and car streets. This in turn makes it unattractive to just walk or cycle around and do your groceries in a smaller shop you'd pass by anyways going from the metro to your door. And because it is such a pain to walk/cycle or the public transport is overcrowded, unreliable and lacks the connection for the last bit, people feel in need of the car.

At core the main starting point imo. is to always redistribute the available space, so that cars are not the total dominant, but pedestrians, cyclists and public transport have enough space too. With the options of remote work, many travels to the innter city offices are unecessary and the transition phase can be aided by policy favoring remote working options.

it is true that craftsmen, delivery drivers and so on sometimes do need cars. but if that is the dominant car traffic it is much easier to fit it in, and also in their interest as they can park close to the doors much easier, when not everyone and their dog has a car parked there already.

Final thought from what i have seen in Spain compared with Germany. A walkable city is a lively city. There is more business, there is more civil servants, there is more employment in smaller shops and with that you get a thriving local economy, keeping the money circulating and the city more independant from single large businesses as main source of employment and tax income.

  • What i dont get is why Journalists did not heavily cover the chat surveillance and other plans of the EU and criticise it into the ground.

Of course if the overreach is normalized for the average citizen it will then be expanded to special groups like journalists, lawyers and doctors.

  • I wonder how many of these are defederated from each other too.

Is it all unity among the nazi-pedos or are they fighting amongst each other?

  • It is not armed robbery when the military is sent to another country. war is ultimately always about ressources, so you could argue every war to just be an armed robbery gone wrong.

If someone sends their military to another coubtry without this countries explicit consent it is an act of war.

  • Well the people in it had a majority deciding in favor of it in a free election. And afterwards the people that voted against it had four years to adjust to it, for instance by migrating into an EU country.

Also it was perfectly possible to form a political stance to overthrow the non binding referendum but instead people voted Boris Johnson in a "landslide victory" to make sure Brexit gets done.

There were plenty turning points for society as a whole and individual possibility to leave the dumpsterfire behind. The people in the UK are getting exactly what they wanted.

  • neither is hot water, having a non leaking roof or a functional health system. Do you want to skip on any of these as being weird? it was a huge advantage and quite dominant in human genetics.

  • and decided that we need some of that non-essential nourishment at any cost.

But it was essential. Drinking cow milk was such an evolutionary edge that genetic analysis indicated every lactose tolerant person to have the same ancestor where it first occured some 6.000 years ago.

  • Your weirdness with milk stems from it being from a mammal and you seeing more similarity with a mammal. But the underlying processes are equally estranged from the perceived natural way. and for the natural way again the definition remains difficult, because humans 50, 100, 500, 1000, 5000, 10.000 and 50.000 years ago all had very different lifes in which very different things happened.

What you described with artifical hormones is something of the past 50 years. But what about the other 6.000 years of humans drinking milk already? What you describe isnt specific to milk.It is specific to modern industrialized countries.

  • You just arbitrarily define your level of detail.

Drinking milk also just started as:

try milk from lactating cow - realize you are able to digest it - get more milk from that cow.

All the rest that lead to most Europeans being lactose tolerant, which is an insane genetical success story and the subsequent refining of that process came later.

But maybe to help you with the seeds: A common way of breeding new seeds, that isnt specific GMO, is to radiate the seeds for random mutation. How is the following process not weird? "apply death ray to seed, get defeberated seed, see if it has any useful properties, crossbreed degenerated seed with less degenerated one until you get your right mix of degeneracy"

Or should we go about processing old dinosaur meat into transparent wrappings to buy our cow lactate in? Name it and i can tell you how it is weird. The process is just creative and the result is arbitrary.
