Joined the US Navy straight out of HS. Boot camp and then my first time leaving the West Coast. Moved to Virginia and then when I was 19 I sailed up and down the East Coast. From Portland Maine to Key West Florida. Before my 21th Birthday, I had gone through the Panama Canal and sailed to Honolulu and then to Sydney Australia. It was an exciting time for me.
I have had multiple pairs of both but I only have Solovair that I can still use, one pair is probably 20 years old with well over a 1000 miles on them. The soles are going out and the leather is cracked but on a dry day they are still the most comfy pair of boots I have
Docs were great until they became a chinese knockoff. If you can find a pair that says Made in England on the sole, they will be quality
i have a lot of experience in my field with recognized organizations. At the hardest period of finding work, I never had to send out more than 10 resumes at a time. Fuck that noise, 109 should be generating more attention unless it's for jobs clearly out of scope with your skills.
my advice for young people without experience, treat your hobbies as jobs and how you tried mastering it. This is why scouting and girl scout kids get more opportunities. They can describe the skills they recognize in themselves and articulate it on paper.
having worked at both a normal hospital for years and a mental hospital for years, they usualy are the same socks
the difference is that at regular hospitals, you don't always get a pair but at mental hospitals its the only shoes you get to wear unless you are actually going outside for a walk or something
the fact that they don't match is also a pretty normal mental hospital thing
today I watched The Boy and the Heron and really enjoyed it
oh yeah, I'm 50+ without kids so I don't have any influence from little ones. But I do show them to my nieces and nephews, so they can be cool kids when they know about these things and their peers discover it
It wasn't me! It was the one armed liberal who snuck into my office in the middle of the night. How he lowered the rope and descended down from the skylight, I'll never know! But I'm keeping that and the other Nazi gear where it is .. it's evidence!
you can't always get what you want....
but if you try, sometimes, you might find, you get what you need
