  • Not sure, but sketchbook comes from Autodesk and they are notorious for changing the rules and terms and conditions.

Just personal beef, but I refuse to touch their software after the shenanigans they pulled with Fusion.

  • Procreate on iPad. Cheap and the best art studio you can ever buy

  • It’s FOSS software but I use it so much I donate to support it. FreeCAD. Yeah its interface isn’t the best. But compared to Fusion for my workflow it’s so much bettwr

  • DaVinci Resolve.

The software is free but not FOSS and on Linux paying for the h.264 support is nice.

Keen live is a good alternative but it feels like an advanced form of movie maker to me and lacks polish. If you learn it KDEN Live can be powerful.

  • Honestly I’ve use it, it’s good but uses far my resources that it should.

KOreader is the FOSS alternative and while its interface sucks. Its reader is excellent.

  • I have a good mix. Everdrives are pricey and not always the best solution. But they can be.

Look into the games you want to play and see if the flash cart works for you. I found EZ Drive is better for GB systems since it’s cheaper and offers more features. Like being able to play larger community roms.

  • As someone who has beaten the game. The cash grab part is just after your first day and the “open world” starts up.

It’s not a bad game, but it gets pretty bland and generic once the main loop of ditching school starts.

  • I'm not disagreeing. But in the example with Lockheed Martin, what else can they do? These are Military Supplies, if the Canadian Government intervenes and forces Lockheed Martin to prevent the export of the components, they will be actively aggravating the US, which is not something the Canadian Government appear they'd want to do at this time. (See Doug Ford's Regan Add)

The Canadian Government is in a loose loose situation right now if they act. If we want more immediate results we should be going after these companies who are actively supporting this genocide, while pressuring the Canadian Government to do more.

  • The authors of the report speak of “deliberate negligence” on the part of Ottawa. They explain that by allowing exports to the United States without oversight, the government avoids debates in Parliament and legal challenges. This allows it to protect the profits of the Canadian death industry.

So in short the headline is a lie. The Canadian government is not involved. It’s Canadian made goods which are being sent to the USA, which are being sent to Israel.

Better headline would be: Canadian Companies still shipping out goods to Israel and we think Canadian Government should stop them.

  • I use it since the login requirements are insane for vanilla Minecraft.

  • When I was getting into PC gaming, I bought Wolfenstein the new Order as a DVD. What it turned out to be was Wolfenstein the new order.... on steam, with several DVDs (4-8) that had the games data. I installed it this way once and never again.

  • I mean it can't be that old, it was only released in 2008. That's what 17 years ago. oh... it was 17 years ago.

  • While the Discs are more scratch proof the data side of the disc is more fragile sadly. Just lost my copy of blops due to 2 pin holes in the label.

  • I think if there was a Linux step, it would be to remove proprietary drivers if installed then enable nouveau. If there are features missing on your new card, move back to the proprietary.

For those who say "why install proprietary", say hello to the annoying world of OpenCL.

  • DVD was to make a physical media of streaming content for a relative who doesn’t use technology but wanted to watch it. This would’ve been about 5 years ago ish since we don’t see them much anymore.

CD was about 3 years ago for my car since its head unit didn’t have car play. We’ve since purchased an iPod 7th gen to do the job.

  • Printables has paid models now if you want to support a designer. I remember being recommended MyMiniFactory for more premium print a while ago.

With that said, I think it depends on what you are looking for and what you are trying to make. I see a lot of comments recommending Blender and FreeCAD. So I wanted to give you alternatives.

With that said, Blender is for 3D Modeling (think molding with Clay), where as FreeCAD is more like blueprints. Both have a high learning curve, and Blender has a large community to help new users. FreeCAD is getting there, but has a steep learning Curve. TinkerCAD and Fusion from Autodesk may get some hate here (for many good reason), but are the easiest softwares to get into if you want to make mechanical design.

  • For the first time, I saw Moosehead in Ontario. It’s wild man

  • While cantilever printers can be an annoying honestly converting your Mini to direct drive will improve print quality more than dual Z motors.

That said have fun it’s your machine.

  • Honestly PS2 or the next gen up, PS3 and 360.

Lots of variety and great games for rock bottom prices. PS2 is starting to get up there are discs fail and systems ware down. But due to being the best selling system of all time. It’s be a while until it’s crazy.

Another option is to look around and buy local. Who knows what you’ll find for cheap.
