  • I mean I get what you’re saying. Their first album especially is very joke-y and frat-y. Like there’s no doubt listening to it that this is rap music made by a bunch of white boys. But there’s a lot of manufactured white people rap out there and the beasties seem genuine. And as I say nearly all of their contemporaries give them respect which I think is big.

  • Idk I feel like calling them rap for white people is a bit unfair. The only person I’ve ever seen say anything bad about them is Just-Ice, they seem pretty well respected by their contemporaries, nothing that would suggest some sort of Vanilla Ice situation. I mean regardless of your thoughts on their music lol, not arguing that you have to like them.

  • It’s absolutely an attempt to suppress any left-wing movement, but I also think (based purely on vibes) that they’ve gotten high on their own supply and convinced themselves of some massive underground left-wing network working to take them down, and thought they’d provoke mass protests and rioting like the George Floyd protests which they’re still completely obsessed with, then they could point to the burning police stations that so horrified them in 2020 and say see we got to treat these people as domestic terrorists. And that just…hasn’t happened, since there’s no substantive left in this country and there hasn’t been for a long time. Sad on our part but maybe good in the long run.
