  • We all know he didn’t author that.

  • Generic term for hair styling device with a direct contact heating element that’s not a hair dryer/blower. It’s not always obvious that the unit is on except for a small light, and can remain hot after use and a source for small burns to the body.

So straightener/curling iron (that doesn’t use air like Dyson etc).

  • And then?

  • And trim as in no frills or extras. No power locks or windows, no heated seats, no sun/moon roof, basic console/glove compartment etc. Basic.

  • I don’t think I’ve seen tuna offered as an option in the US. Tuna in olive oil is amazing on pizza.

  • The uneducated are easier to manipulate. Don’t want them to be too smart for Fox News.

  • So all these countries forked over 1 billion USD?

  • Yeah that's weird. I tried to replicate it; it worked for a little while, then the game window just auto minimizes every time I try to alt tab it. I end up running my game in Windowed mode mainly so that I can see my task bar at the top and don't experience problems that way.

  • I believe it was Gamescope. It's been a while but I just looked it up again and you'll need to add "--force-grab-cursor" in one of the fields.

  • I’ve switched from win 10 to mint for an old i9900k and 1080 to run Helldivers 2 and it worked so well I put it on my newest rig to replace it (9800x3d RX 9070xt) with little to no problems. It does take a little while to get things tailored to how you want. The bios clock keeps being off (but OC settings remain) so maybe the battery is dying already. Been putting off replacing it since it’ll require a bit of disassembly.

I then tried Bazzite on the i9900k and ran into a couple problems. Multiple monitors pose issues with the mouse not staying on the game and requires an applet or app to keep it contained (no issues with Mint). HD2 runs the same performance but it stutters every second or two, making it unplayable. I’ll have to see if I can troubleshoot some more or try a different distro.

  • Regarding alt tab, are you on multiple screens or just one?

  • Sure, but name one that is as big and spread out like the US? We are unique in that regard.

  • We are blaming you for the fact that we’re not seeing protests every day...

This is just not possible and the rich are banking on that. It would have to become much much worse before people will risk their own employment, access to medical benefits, and personal security so that we can march.

It's easy to suggest those things but in reality it's just not going to happen.

  • Oh no, as if we don't already have decent wine here, mostly in blue states anyway.

  • Some of these comments are awful. Apparently, if we all aren't wrapping ourselves and children with explosives and becoming Jihadists overnight, we're not doing enough.

This is a class war. The rich have taken over all the checks and balances in our system to where they can break every rule and comfortably get away with it; all the while getting richer and us poorer. We're powerless and spread too thin geographically to do anything meaningful. Maybe we do need to get that radical, but I really hope it doesn't ever need to get to that point.

  • I don't see it even on the browser version of Voyager, so I don't think you're missing out on anything.

  • Sounds like they're prepping her as a possible presidential candidate.

  • Made butter today for the first time. Wasn’t difficult but it took some time, not a lot.

Half gallon (64 oz/1892ml) carton of 40% heavy cream from Costco makes 1 quart (32 fl oz) of buttermilk and about 2 pounds of butter by eye (didn’t scale to confirm). It all fits in a 5 quart KitchenAid mixer for the churning.
