I think it’s more of using fear to create consent rather than appearing as weak. In my country the capitalist class routinely says that any socialist law would tank the economy which creates fear in most people. They are speaking about small businesses because in the hegemonic ideology they are seen as "the economy" and are more liked by people than mega corpo. It also feeds into the meritocratic bullshit of liberalism, because most people feel like they can start their own business and thus can relate to small businesses. Obviously this only works as long as people have something to lose. Once we won’t have anything to lose they’ll have to go back to using physical coercion (fascism etc.).
It does not surprise me. The first thing I thought when I saw these kind of bets becoming common place was "People with insider knowledge or authority will be able to abuse these to make a lot of money with no way to check it."

However it’s been so long since I had dairy that I don’t remember what it tastes like. I’ve watched many videos of vegans making their own hard cheese, no idea if it’s good though. I don’t remember the name of the bacteria they use but it did not seem too hard to make.
In my country there are some really good commercial vegan soft cheese using fermented cashew which are as good as commercial dairy cheese (not the same taste but the same umami flavor and pleasure from eating it) per my carnist friends.
We’re however a long way from great artisanal vegan cheese that I can get at a creamery as I used to get back in the day.

I’m sure you can find a few that are not bad like some that are expressly antispeciesist and work as a kind of sanctuary where animals and not customers dictate when they interact with guests, but basically an animal cafe objectifies and transform the animals into commodities with their sole purpose being an entertainment toy for people coming into the cafe.
You get fucked things like forced breeding, abandoning or straight up killing animals as soon as they do not meet the standard of the cafe (e.g.: getting too old, not being friendly enough to customers or letting themselves be pet on demand).
Animals have to be available whenever the customers want them to be. For some nocturnal species like owls or hedgehogs they will be forcefully kept awake because the animal cafe needs to be open during the day. Health is not a preoccupation as it’s usually cheaper to buy a new animal than take care of their health etc.
BTW I don’t think that’s an exclusively japanese problem, there are just a lot of these cafes there (at least back when I was in Tokyo). Animals are currently seen as resources to be exploited by humans however we want to, be it for food, clothing or entertainment.
I laughed especially at option C. TBH I don’t really care if people watch Hasan or not, I myself sometimes watch him to get up to date on what the US is currently doing that might end up fucking me in my own country. I also enjoy some stuff be it music are movies that are not great. Just use the French name, "La France Insoumise", although in France they usually shorten it to "LFI" or "La FI".
And the word "insoumis" sounds good to me. It is not that used in everyday speech (when not talking about the party or its members) as people will more likely use the negation of "soumis" by saying "pas soumis" rather than "insoumis" but it is more poetic I would say.
The members of the party are called "les insoumis" you will frequently here people say "je suis un insoumis" when they want to say they are a member or supporter of the party. Which is really "French revolution" sounding to me.
It's one of the force of the party, they successfully cultivate and project an aura of revolution when they are in fact reformist. It can sometimes coopt the revolutionary message but it also opens up their supporter to the idea of it and in my experience they are the ones who are usually the most sympathetic to revcom ideas and theory out of all the reformist parties in France
