  • I came to the comments to ask the same thing 🫠

I haven't found anything about it after a quick search, but there's still time to be disappointed

  • Suing doesn't mean you get money, it means you open a complaint and request judgement. Sometimes the judgement results in someone getting money, but not always. If you read the article, you'd see they are suing in order to compel the administration to comply with 11 FOIA requests.

The DNC said the court must now enforce FOIA requirements “to ensure that the American people obtain timely knowledge of potential threats to free and fair elections and to enable the DNC to take appropriate action to ensure voting rights are protected.”

  • I miss this show

  • Mythbusters tested out cell phones starting fires while pumping gas, and it's not a thing that happens with normal use.

The expert they had on the episode explained most fires that begin while pumping are from static discharge. It's even more likely to happen if you get back into your car while the pump runs and then get back out when it's done, as doing that can increase your static charge

  • I'M MAD AS HELL, AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE

  • Isn't this how we got 9/11?

  • I approach everything with a healthy amount of skepticism, and alter my stance when presented with evidence.

If you look up "jim carrey cesar awards speech" on your search engine of choice, you'll see tons of articles about his changed appearance, and can even find his acceptance speech where he does his best speaking French. There was even an article published in the last few hours where he confirmed it was him and not a body double.

There is no AI or AI slop. But there are changes in lighting and angles, which can have a massive effect on appearances.

  • "Special military operation"

  • Seems legit

  • This picture was from the Cesar Awards, which is a film awards thing in France held a few days ago. It's definitely not AI

  • There is a gif I've seen that demonstrates this using a water balloon and a drill. The knot of the balloon is in the drill chuck, and when you turn on the drill the balloon spins into a (relatively) flat disk.

I'll try to find it and add a link here. Prepare for disappointment.

Edit: best I can do is an Instagram reel (from a great creator who covers lots of physics stuff) https://www.instagram.com/reel/DKLwz5TxmIu

  • In New Jersey, it's called the FUCK ICE bill 🤗

  • Why not volunteer for Habitat for Humanity? Teach an ESL class? Host a block party? Spend time with senior citizens at the local nursing home? Read books to kids at the library? Help out at an animal shelter? Clean up litter from the streets?

    The possibilities are endless

  • I don't believe there are still signs like this today, at least not in public areas (because, as you pointed out in other comments, that would be illegal under the Civil Rights Act). Every now and then there are stories about non-white people being asked to leave an establishment, but those have, thankfully, become pretty rare.
