Yes, the fear and anger is addictive. It's why reality TV shows are so popular, it's why outrageousness in the news headlines are par for the course. Americans are so very disconnected from real life and have been for a long time. Issues across the world barely register on the average American radar. It's become a deeply unhealthy culture and I don't know how your country is going to survive this.

Also, I refuse to call them "Americans" anymore. USians don't own that term. As a Canadian, I'm american, cause I live in North America. People who live in Mexico and South America are also americans. In fact, they have more title to that name than USians or myself as a non-indigenous person.
