Few things are worse than Weird Al songs stuck in your head. He’s great and I actually listen to the words of his song. Don’t a lot of the time just hear the melody but Al is funny. Just recently watched the Simpsons with him singing, was an amusing random watch. He helped me understand satire better, though always a fan of cheesy satire from Mel Brooks, National Lampoons and of course UHF. For movies I’ll also add, Spaceballs (Men in Tights, but never fully watched Blazing Saddles outside of bits which is by all accounts awesome), loaded weapon one and well Mr Als UHF in case people wanted something less than serious to watch sometime. In the vein of ‘cant rain all the time’(Original Crow movie), can’t always be serious and just need a funny one. Though I do know the humour isn’t for all.

Also years later the Robot Chicken bit with them was awesome. Fantastic satire/spoof on the idea.

As. Canadian that headline makes me smile. I hope we can support them from any aggression, like both Russia and US was supposed to from signed agreements when they gave up their nukes. Anything from either aggressor is signed in pencil as we all know…maybe crayon depending on leader competence.

Also will help us Canadians to learn such drone knowledge and tactics (if not outward but by design on how to use them) when our neighbors decide they’re getting bored. Okay maybe Russia doesn’t technically border us but may as well these days.

Didn’t read it all comments but seems like a good episode, didn’t want spoilers even if not in my current watch list (got many going on and fewer are too serious ones). Offerman and Mullally rock, and even better they seem quite happy together from any bits I’ve heard.

I bet Shapiro is just jealous of them and found something to screech about for the day. He’s all confused about people who can be happy and accepting, not in his nature.

Do want to watch the series still, I never finished the first game even or got far in it. On my list with the show to do at some point.

Also if you want to see early Offerman I recommend the movie Groove which he had a small part as a cop inspecting a rave, back when they weren’t commercial so had a fun feel for us racers back then. if that’s not your thing I believe he was in a number of sitcoms in the 90s as well, with small parts.

That was flippant I know but I think if they were properly shunned the US will either learn or accept their place at the table with Russia and North Korea. They are not serious people in any way or form, pretending they are is just enabling the asshole Americans to act like they’re winning, which they don’t understand politics to see how much they’ve lost. Which they would if they bothered to vote in people to help their education system and not be in their situation.

Oh they have all the nukes, yes but can they even aim them these days outside of killing fishermen and schoolchildren? They lost logistics for their carrier, the best known bits of the US military was logistics. The ice cream barge in WWII would be diluted into the ocean under these people. Morale is highly under appreciated by these people.

I tried to learn a bit of Japanese, one thing I’ll say (if it was correct hopefully) for the most part you can figure out the hiragana (? I think correct name, whichever is the syllables characters come from) from the syllables.

Knife? Kite? Yeah completely different in English depending on the word. Would be convenient to know sounds when you see a symbol. Is K a … Nigh or a ke sound. Really English is annoying glad I grew up with it, sounds awful to learn as another language. Sure there’s worse but yeah.

Ah peanut hamper, I enjoyed just the name revelation almost as much as an episode… Well probably more than many episodes to be fair, season 1 tng was definitely rough, and that’s the one I grew up with. Don’t head back there overly often but sometimes less watched has nuggets of fun.

Oddly how I choose an early Simpsons episode, oh this one turned to unwatched been awhile, obviously watch most too often to give me that opportunity but not you…after watching some, oh that’s why, well better than new.

I guess to be totally honest I tend to have an idea why it turned unwatched but by then I watched other ones like 3 times or so.

For lumber they have sections to log out for a period and shift them l, least how it was done when I was there in Canada. Essentially long term planning so by the time they need that lumber again it’ll be regrown to healthy levels, so they have a good idea area required for a season. We got lots of trees and non developed area but I assume similar in most places that do lots of logging…besides when it’s just done to clear areas that is, but not the usual rotation areas.

Been a few years (decades) since I’ve been involved in any way so perhaps things have changed but I think they’d try and keep that rotation going for longer term benefits. Due to needing road access and all for those spots they tend to be more remote, though I was in a small town in the middle of nowhere for most of my involved time I did end up in a more populated area and they still did similar. I was more IT and once had to go out to check out how their GPS was used, was a noticable drive to get out there, like 2ish hours I think. Can’t even recall why they asked I had no idea how their GPS was used properly or to make any changes.

Was the same when my father worked at the mill as well. Cause pretty sure i asked similar at one time. Their yard held like 1million cubic meters of wood often. So they stock up… Though lots of swamp in that area so most logging was in winter to stock up and run over summer with minimal input. Always fun to drive highways and get behind a logging truck heh, couldn’t help but think of final destination.

Far as I can tell, especially with Iran negotiations, the US is not a serious political actor so makes sense to have a dig at them. Also show them the door when they start fucking around like it’s a condo development or a way to get a kickback for a deal. No these are economies of countries where millions of people depend upon things.

I checked out her imdb only knew she was involved in godfather 3 which I didn’t bother watching yet. The only other two things on her list I recognized was the Madonna one and Mary Antoinette movie, I only watched the Madonna one in my teen years once.

Well besides the lost in translation movie, I keep meaning to check it out. It’ll probably be on some afternoon movie when I am close to Bill Murray’s age anyways. Can’t watch them all before otherwise I’ll be too ornary. Huh had no idea Giovanni Ribisi was in it, knew some attractive lady was in it but forgot which one (not saying the actor is forgettable as much as the movie). Though I did hear it was pretty good overall. But usually not my type of random movie is all. Do love Bill Murray and is fun to see him out of his comedy element sometimes.

From what I can tell, students need to learn online searches are tools, but you have to still understand why they give the correct answer. Or not (give the correct one), I’ve googled same issue but worded just slightly differently and got the opposite answer (usually after seeing the first response was incorrect, then I reword and gives me the opposite)

Mean I learned how to use searches, be specific only include relevant words…been doing it for decades now. Nope one slight change in my search gives the opposite ai answer. Fuck that technology is limited, opposite answers other day with similar but not exactly same query. If anything it’s making people stupid. Kids need to learn critical thinking, why I know answers are incorrect when I see it, can bring in knowledge to determine if it fits other facts.

If only all places made sure to not let kids using it until they got proper skills to parse their results in a mindful and logical way.

Otherwise you get people believing the first result, and for anyone say over 35(ish) early Internet you had to try many times and go to past the first page of results to find shat you were looking for.

I never found a thing from them, helped me not wanting to gamble at least (got terrible money luck for that sort of thing). You said enough and I get it, I may have been too broad in judgement, and everything I’ve heard about her has been that she was one of the sweetest and nicest people you could meet. Like one in a billion.

I was sad to hear she passed any person helping that many kids read is not just helping the kids but helping society improve. We could use more of that these days even in small bits.

They are a noticable chunk of the reason that things are like they are now but I rarely hear one pushing for anything on your list and fewer doing anything about it.

He was fantastic in everything but I always remember him as Pennywise. Didn’t see Rocky Horror till almost a decade ago, musicals not overly my thing is all, but that helped me see his greatness. Plus his bits in spoof movies can see him saying ‘wilderness girls’ in the less talked about Nation Lampoons Loaded Weapon 1. If you like cheesy but amusing spoof movies from before ‘… movie’ movies it was up there with Men in Tights, well almost, hard to compare with Mel Brooks ones.
