  • Anyone else watch Rick and Morty, isn't Graham basically Jerry in couple therapy place (mean outside of the 'presenting' that it does)? It's just so subservient to whoever he latches on to. Mean from bomb Iran of McCain it just may be doing his previous hang on wishes here too. But seriously this guy is a senator that has a leadership ability of a wet noodle. Aren't senators supposed to be strong in their own convictions? Mean maybe there's lots I haven't heard of Mr Graham but I don't think McCain would be happy with his swap.

Least McCain had some principles and would now down to the orange turd, that's the only good thing I saw from him (okay plus telling someone in an audience to be respectful of Obama, you'd never see that today)

  • Probably not what this article means but had a coworker at a previous job give a bunch of suggestions or answers at one point (want to say very small company single programmer is me, few tech support and sales people). One guy gives suggestions based on chat gpt, so I end up figuring out what is incorrect from the suggestion.

Mean I know he's trying to be helpful but giving suggestions that don't work is a bit of a time waster. To be honest I'm probably middling as a programmer, I can figure out stuff but not a fantastic one (maybe I sell myself short never come across an issue I couldn't solve but took time). So having to spend time to go over that just makes me go over stuff I really don't need to. Quite a pain, as much as I appreciate them trying to help it's a time waster checking out those options to see if they work.

  • Mean depends if you accept the people voting as as knowledgeable as they should be before casting a vote, or perhaps those that are not knowledgeable are so few they won't impact the election.

Then I look at the US and well...see their point.... As much as I'm a champion of democracy obviously there are some issues to overcome when that douche becomes president in a democracy. Mostly eyeing the propohanda media but the downside of democracy is everyone should have their choice and all opinions be heard. Though good education needs to be there too otherwise you get an orange stain on world politics.

  • No idea of the comic (mean hadn't seen it as far as I know) but this joke made me laugh. Reminds me of Perry Bible fellowship which has some of the most odd humour but right up my alley.

  • When I slept in the room with the ensuite, we didn't care when we slept. Mean don't think either of use dropped deuces (#2) close to sleep time there, we also have 2 other toilets so that bls.

Basically my thought is, if someone can smell it less if I pooped elsewhere in the place, do it that spot. Cause I don't like smelling poop so assume others do not care to either.

Course I have my own issues but still assume that's a good rule to live by. Man when a date had a curtain over the bathroom doorway and not a solid (well semi solid there mostly empty in the middle) door I couldn't relieve myself. Mean enough making out maybe I could tinkle but that's about it.

  • Yeah that's my reaction when I noticed.... oddly just when I read your comment. Fuck Murdoch's publications.

Thank you for helping me see it.

I want to add, sometimes there are good (or semi accurate) articles but having to do the checks on their reporting sucks balls and not in the fun way.

  • Yeah like if I was them I'd arm with offerings and give the middle finger when they asked for action. They are owed for being ignored and left to fend for themselves (as I state later my understanding of the situation is almost nil, but you don't keep allies by screwing them over) by what they thought was an ally. But everything is transactional with the memory of a goldfish for this administration.

I'll say I don't know the situation there well at all, maybe accepting whatever is offered with the suggested actions is in their best interest. I hope they can make a decision that doesn't screw them over in the long run (not by their choice for sure to be clear), whatever is needed. Mean being on the wrong side of the CIA has never helped many either. Conflicts suck and it'd be nice if we could figure out how to resolve things peacefully, though I guess that idea belongs in a fairytale these days.

  • I manage a bunch of code that has to handle that sort of thing, since no customers have complained I haven't had to check into it. Now that I've typed this I imagine I'll get an issue next week cause last person who did it wasn't so great with that stuff. Seems to work so easier to let it be till it doesn't.

Mostly installed locally but we do have some hosted customers on central servers, either they haven't noticed issues or it works. I'd put money on the former than latter though.

  • I just call them Mondays and accept it now, but I'm old. I'm sure others have better luck with their planned dates but if not, just put them on a Monday then you can be like Garfield and hate them too.

Yeah it happens still regardless. Least I still enjoy lasagna.

  • When you can justify your actions due to a fuzzy theological belief it's quite silly. I am an atheist but if there is a god, he gave us the power of reasoning and logic. Then if there is that, why is there any logic to disobey one of ten major rules for humans to live by? He put them in a rock according to the story, wasn't like hidden words needed to be seen by lemon juice or something. They are quite pronounced in the Bible, so why can thry think don't kill people doesn't apply to them?

God sent one kid, why not another if an amendment was needed in the killing but?

  • I don't doubt that the actual people pulling the strings (I'll say 2025 unsure if it was religious sided but think it was) are quite religious. Trump as usual is the greedy idiot they make this the fault of, mean why would the US elect someone who wasn't really proper leader in charge? So he gets the blame, he's at his end run out his usefulness anyways but enough moves have been made they can't go back now so just push forward.

The rapture dudes are all probably in ecstasy at the moment when in reality it'll leave the world in a worse situation.

Wait typing this thing out made me realize the fault of people is not understanding when we're wrong least the higher ups. So many of us can't stand saying we're wrong. I'd rock to tell the US it's okay to be wrong, take your licks and come play with us again. But they're too ornary.

Personally I hate being wrong it's a knife to the gut. But you know what? That's how I learn to improve. I learn not to be wrong in the future from those actions. Too bad the US is run by someone who can't learn a lesson we teach toddlers.

  • There was an article saying it was for religious reasons, military people calling in to a hotline they have to say they were told orders were sanctioned by god or something similar.

I'm not religious (do know a fair but of what pre high school kids tends to learn) but according to the old testament the Christian God(well all same God for participants technically unless I'm misunderstanding my theology) doesn't need help if he wants to wipe out people.

Imagine saying you're on a holy war because Trump says so? That sounds wild even for some of the out there comedies.

  • I concur, though my job has me integrating some open ai into our software. Not much I can do besides so what they like, bit of transcription and summary.

Had a coworker give me replies from gpt for an issue . I could tell easily because I had worked with similar data for years (parsing PBX data for calls) and knew the reply had errors. Like I know I can have issues parsing our data sometimes but it was insulting he gave an AI reply. So I nicely pointed out all the errors in the reply saying I assumed it was from ai. Mean did it nicely he was trying to help (and is a really nice dude) but still I know how to google and sift as well as ai probably does. And if I get the answer I remember it due due to the work I did.

  • Also when you get older sometimes even as a guy you may not be able to perform, it happens. So as long as you have an understanding partner you can get around those times. Mean I'm unsure on actual performance issues but really penis in vagina, while most common (I think?) is only a bit of what couples can do for fun in that area. Hell I think there's so much more besides that but not for this topic.

  • It may be worth it if you had a chance to say 'how tiny' as you clasped his hand. Though representing the NHL not like they could do that, or most people in his insulated environment.

  • In very early 2000s my friends and I used to comment on water appearance in games. If I saw Black Flag ocean then I'd have probably shit myself. Really water was a benchmark between us still recall it on the amd 9500

  • Yeah if he is correct I wouldn't want to shout that out myself but congrats on him for bringing awareness to an issue that I'm sure many men's lives have been worse for. Not like we can control the size of any body part but it would make for difficult relationships. Yes I know size isn't everything but that's a bit different category of issue is all.

  • And being next door when Trump has commented on the 51st state, it may not be the best time to condem something with all the military geared up, they could mostly squash us as a side quest. Least that's what I hope. Mean I think the PM could have been less accepting of the situation in his message but I'm sure there's a fine line. I'm also not much into international relations so sort of trying to be optimistic considering our other choice of leader (okay technically more but it's two parties realistically though the NDP has been needed for coalition governments).

  • Sometimes the silliest jokes are just what you need. Though I kinda prefer stupid comedies....okay I usually prefer them but yeah laughing is great.

Even if it's not a good joke, I always feel things are better after a laugh.
