  • Just like how the administration has made all of their decisions, with lots of information and ensuring their nominees will perform to what is expected of a top...2nd....well a lightly associated as a western country in freefall....oh nevermind the US isn't even considered freefall, it it's going lower than two bit whore.

    I apologize to all the two bit whores, you most likely are more trustworthy than the current US administration. Seriously I'd give a random person my debit card over Trump. Like ot any president who would you not leave your kid with? I thought GWB was awful but I think he'd take care of a toddler/baby. At the worst even most of the worst ones would hire someone. I don't want to get into the ideas of what someone like Trump would come up with.

    I wasn't intending to bring it up, but after the last paragraph I sort of thought well it's probably in the Epstein files....yeah realease that shit. 1% worth of files my ass.

  • I've enjoyed him since Scream and Hackers, I think he does a great Shaggy (voice acting included). Heck I probably thought Wing Commander was more entertaining with him, I can't recall but unsure if there was any good video game movie at the time.

    Scream and Hackers remain two of my favourite movies ever. Scream cause it was a bit of a different horror from Craven (Nightmare on Elm Street being my favourite 80s horror series) and Hackers ... Well computers and one of the best soundtracks ever, used to listen to it mowing the yard. Ended up into a lot of electronica tunes over the years, not from that but why I enjoyed it so much.

  • Unsure if they still are but recall NRA was completely compromised by Russia in Trump's first term. That whole bit with Butina (unsure if spelled correctly basically slept with a bunch of higher ups due to being affiliated with the NRA) who now (or used) to be in Russias equivalent of congress. Yeah can't trust that organization. Sure the money dried up somewhat but still some channels available to push out some messages on their behalf.

  • There is showerthoughts, but is there a "snowstorm thoughts" for when you have random nostalgia moments about the past? Particularly about a past snow storm in your childhood, like the SNOW DAYS

  • I grew up in northern Canada, snow days may have happened but most I recall is busses not running (probably not physical issue but safety issues if something happened) after -40 so little use in going to school cause least half the kids needed the rural busses to get in so teachers adjusted lesson plans accordingly.

    I guess even growing up I always wished it wasn't so cold outside but the not having school days was fun to stay inside, I hated the atmosphere there but loved learning still.

  • Eventually I learned to tell myself, 'one thing at a time' (mean mentally but when I realize I'm wanting to do two things at once) it doesn't always work but does better when in the middle of single task like clean the kitchen. As opposed to juggling the garage and kitchen cleaning because you started running to both. Though I guess it works well there too. Start on something? Do that, heh yes I know but if you remind yourself your brain may realize one day.

    Actually mostly used to happen from coming inside, dealing with grabbing some water, washing hands and putting a few things in the kitchen away, I kept half washing hand before moving on and would try an optimize some putting away with cleaning then drop something cause wet hands. Once I kept reminding myself for awhile the tasks went smoother without wanting everything done 5 seconds ago.

    Dunno if this is useful to others but figured I'd share cause without some effort my mind will put me on that path.

  • Yes let's just fix this green circuit area.....oh one more input....can stick some smelters here for a temporary measure, crap need to get this belt over for a new row.....been awhile since I played but assume calling the first circuits green still works.

    Never thought that's why I may have worked well for me. Always something to do and in the end it needs to be done to increase production. Well sort of until you just have outposts do everything and turn it into train simulator... My favourite stage, always highways of track with good signals that don't block, with tons of bots.

    Also never played with biters I was so glad when they removed killing them for science.

  • A shame is putting it lightly, I agree with that all. Many people died for the US to be what it was, it may not have been the best but they used to do more than shake down everyone to fill their president's pockets.

    Now it's a mob racket. I bet people who died in WWII on the allies side would look on the USA now with the wtf? Look.

    I think the understated part is that it's letting criminals win. Sure you can hum and haw about legalities of actions but it's the straight up mob running the US right now. Just unfortunately the stupidest crime family.

  • That's all he knows, how to bully and use any resources at his disposal that will accomplish that. Oh he also wants his bank account numbers going up, which again look at the first statement, is why he bullies. He also bullies for slights which were well earned.

    How anyone can see this person as a leader shows a huge lack in education, which is what the Republicans wanted but still this is like giving the world's largest military to a toddler that has discount Goebbels (Miller) doing a ton of their work.

  • But when you realize that's their goal you have to have a next step is all. I'm not sure what a good one is, either kowtow and submit or fight back and possibly get crushed. The second step will be thought of by someone remembered if things go well. Mean maybe the government just shoots themselves in the foot like the do half the time and spark something on their own too. Maybe doesn't need a thought out second step but that's never something you can count on.

    Needs people resisting as a first step for sure though which has been shown in Minneapolis, they are making me happier by the minute to be relatively close to such people. Mean I do wish they didn't have to deal with the situation of course but people showing their distaste for fascism I fully support them.

    I am across the border getting threatened bi weekly by the president of the US so it's hard to show direct support.

  • There were mentions that he wrote his own speech from others. From what I understand it's probably true since that would be his regular type of conference as a head banker previously. I'll be honest haven't listened to it or know a lot about Carney but this is what I've gleened in comments about his speech. Guess I knew about his banker credentials before and he helped us through the 08 crisis which Canada went through decently. Though I had no idea who he was until the leader of the liberal party

    From everything I've read about his speech, which I will listen to at some point, makes me feel better with him in charge if we aren't going to be more progressive.

    Cause he's a greedy narcissist. Really that's all you need to know, if it benefits him (I think he thought calming down rhetoric during that speech would make him appear better) he does it, that's it. No deep end, no big 4d chess, he's simpler than peasants portrayed in movies.

  • He'd bend over and ask for Canada to take more. Nothing I've read from him sounds like a proper leader of this country. He's as whiny as a toddler like the neighbor's 'leader'.   • Mental health needs a big reform in North America, unsure if it's dealt better with in the EU (appears to be) but sure as hell is rarely considered here.

    Like we're all expected to be mindless cogs in a machine. It's awful. If only there were better solutions.... And yes I know there are but not acknowledged around these parts.

  • Hopefully it pans out as the neighbor. But I still totally agree with that statement even if it fucks us, then if it does but we won't roll over quietly...I hope. Fascists cannot be appeased, let alone toddler narcissists who want their next soother. Someone needs to put that baby to bed. Placating but not appeasing them I mean, like you do a fussy toddler, not saying violence. No teaching this toddler but sometimes they can understand their place and stop making as big of a fuss and have a minor one when he doesn't get his diet coke.
