  • Yeah imagine a whole country's population being fine with a pedophile rapist as a leader?

If everyone didn't work, imagine the change? All do that now and the billionaires will get crotchety about not making more money (like they need it.

  • So US citizens glad to continue working and be productive for this 'leader"? Letting someone who lies like we breath be the mouthpiece (well anus for the amount of shit it spews) of your country.

I hope for the best of most US citizens but I do hope they take some determination for their country.

You weren't always the best but you were better than what you've all let your country become. No one is ever best in all ways, but this is the same as Russia, Nazi Germany etc.

It is the country of US citizens afterall, without action it's only to be believed that the populace accept it.

  • Youdo have a big problem, please as a country deal with it rest of the world

I assume you were joking but my reply is not (though not specific to you), please as a country deal with your malignant narcassisisc leader issue because you hold all the military might, the rest of the factions that want to deal with it really never thought you'd get this awful.

  • plays fortune son it ain't me....

  • I haven't seen Pam in pixel format before, that could easily be from an 80s Sierra game, though I didn't count pixels or colours to be sure but if my memory works and it sure does not I'd say it's good.

  • I will add there are other heaters you plug into the car for where you need to make sure to unplug before too long. Block heaters tend to only heat up to a point, pan heaters are like an element on the stove so gotta make sure to not burn anything.

Where I grew up you didn't want a vehicle with some engine heater but block was the usual. No reason to live in that area if you can't afford a block heater for sure...I had a cheap car with a pan heater it sucked but was like 1/3 of a paycheque.

  • Heh had the same issue with shoes one time, school thing (dogsled bit was from a school too) and one pair of shoes we had were some high top canvas sneakers guess converse like? But random supplied by the school you had to take (folded into packs nicely at least). Maybe the sole was better though. Then hiking in the Rockies up high in late August it did freeze (many decades ago now probably not today at the same time) and cause of river crossings during the day and no way to properly dry them lthe canvas froze in whatever lumpy position they rested in. We all had least two pairs of shoes so not too bad but having to deal with and was probably only -5 at worst. Mean I least I know how to deal with it but not something I'd purposely put myself in anymore.

  • I can hear the exact line maybe I watched those videos too often....meh makes me laugh so works for me.

  • Been there even at that temp, though when I learned there was someone who had to run in front of the dogs and break trail. I ended up having to break trail more than operating the sled, guess they didn't want to overload the dogs.

Nothing like camping at that temperature and groggily waking up hearing 'the fire is out' and reazling your hands are freezing, leader kid thought he'd stay awake enough I guess, this was all high school era. Thankfully there were backup cabins to retreat to when shit sucked. We did have a successful night in a quinzee on the same trip though.

  • I listen to them all the time doing random housework, cooking, exercise. They are great, though easier to miss lore / plot points when doing it that way. So I just tend to listen to the good ones multiple times heh.

And of course, check our your library for them! Libby app is great for my local one but I'm sure apps vary by location.

  • As a kid growing up in the 80s MTV was just always there and always referenced after say '85 in tv and movies as everyone knows it. But I am Canadian we only had Much Music after we moved and couldn't take our satellite dish (never watched much anyways to be honest I was under 10). Similar but definitely the budget version.

Always remember the music video with puppet Reagan hitting the nuke button. Though I did watch many videos back in the day....prefer electronica style music though so was never my thing back then even.

  • Glad I upgraded beginning of 2025, with the amount of unfinished games and the number of older games I've never played, I'll either ride it out till gaming on PC isn't a thing or prices will get better....hah prices never really come down as we see with Nvidia pricing. Good thing there's a ton of games on Steam I haven't bought and even more I've played less than a couple hours.

  • That's pretty much the radio version as well the books were pretty close on those lines.

  • I listen to the radio version of hitchhiker's while I go to sleep often, if I managed to hit play in the middle of the whale's pondering I always back up a bit. It's one of my favourites of the entire series and not as good when played mid pondering.

Also the line about the bowl of petunias having relevance later is quite amusing to be sure. Though I assume not thought of when written.

  • If you've ever watched cinema sins (or related videos), hahaha hahahaha...haha (no offense meant but it did make me do that laugh in my head is all)

Mean I wish it would but programmers aren't going to be more memory efficient due to hardware prices unfortunately.

The laugh was in good nature, not laughing at you but the concept of a company being efficient for hardware costs, mean technically I guess games were otherwise we'd wait a half hour for a render but for the most part as long as it works without that half hour render it's probably fine with settings adjustments.

They'll just make things with current specs in mind for longer...well once they realize people can't afford better hardware.

  • Had to check in Simpsons it's called Funzo S11E9, it's not as Christmasy as other ones are for sure. I bet you and your friend still tried to play the game that'd have been an adventure for then. I tried to play a Gundam MMO once but it was only in Japanese, so was awkward and didn't last long but hard to resist a try.

  • Simpson did the burning of them for one holiday episode. Though may have been later than the furby was around but I barely notice season numbers anymore except to notice if after say 12 when the ones my old self sees as better. Also we have all the holiday ones (well many animated series, separate one for live action sitcoms) in a bag to pull out during Xmas season to watch a themed one, so just pull find it and hit play, no thinking during these holidays.... similar for Halloween month.

  • The case connections are always the worst for me, mean maybe there's some standard and if you're not old you can read the tiny print on the board....but I always end up following the manual to be sure. Especially the cases with the single + or - for the device ugh out of all things that aren't standardized why is it the damn case connections?

Actually out of my decades of doing computers that's the part that makes me wonder if the computer will turn on when I press the button first level alone the HDD activity light going properly. I couldn't care less about that but I did like watching it to know my computer was doing something in the 90s.

  • USB cable goes into the USB hole (doesn't work turn it around).....USB cable goes into the USB hole (still doesn't want to work you just didn't want to fiddle enough the first time).....while I'm quite proficient at building computers (haven't bought an off the shelf one in a few decades) saying it looks like it goes where it says it does doesn't always work for beginners. Also the colours were for the end user not the builder, green being the speaker output? Not the sound card installation.

Sorry for spoiling the joke but that's gotta be what this comic was meant for. There's no coloured indicators on the inside are there? Maybe I overlooked them cause I just know where they go, cause I never wanted to fry a new board.

But I thought this was a slot for X?
