Hah like anyone that could play Bond just owning a store in a small town staffed with the Mountain, just having a laugh now. Think it was pretty similar to what my dad used to buy me as a treat growing up in Canada many many moons ago now.

I had trouble understanding fascism when I was in school (early-mid 90s), cause they put the political axis and apparently it was a lot of authoritarianism with free economics (some nationalization of industry of course). For the longest while I thought fascism was more free economics than pure authoritarian. Not that it sounded good anyways.

Now I do see it’s just pure authoritarian with a slight change, if you happen to follow their ideals they may leave you alone. Till you have a thought, say something to a neighbor or post a random thing online. In the end it’s all the same except a thin vineer of freedom. Unfortunately these days don’t need secret police the NSA or whichever agency for your situation, hears everything anyways.

What’s wrong with wanting to help everyone rather than sticking a boot in people’s necks for no reason anyways? I truly wish we could all come to some common ground, we only have one planet let’s figure out what works. Won’t happen I know but I can hope one day… we’ll all see our neighbors are cool. Mean unless the act like assholes but think i got my point across, not everyone acts like someone else no reason to use broad strokes.

I’m not sure they’d ever been in the room, at any point close to US announcing their ‘deals in progress’, ‘near complete deals’ or when anyone in the US administration thought about Iran. Actually last one may be correct, they sent non us officials for the dealing like wtf? Keystone hockey, bunch of hosers.

I dunno where I caught on the keystone hockey bit, don’t even watch it but apparently the junior league so it fits well. Though not even sure these dudes would hit a junior league in politics. May as well be the beer league.

Yeah in decent countries the min wage and being able to afford a broken leg (or similar accident) aren’t as closely related. Mean maybe only got so many sick / vacation days but the actual cost of treatment isn’t what you’re worried about. At worse you’d be out the money you’d make during non working days, not much of an actual cost (okay in Canada I had to pay for the crutches when I twisted my knee one close to Xmas time slipping on ice, unfortunately didn’t realize it just needed a good knock in to get right till that happened)

There are worse situations but that’s probably the worst case scenario (well outlying cases exist) that most people come into for the most part is all. Of course some worst cases exist but expecting someone to pay 5 plus digits (okay I know that’s even low) of expenses for medical is insane.

I recall reading this comic growing up but probably early 90s after a move so we had a different paper. The artist definitely improved in the early years. This one makes me think Simpsons season 1 for the difference between that and a few years later.

Was always one of my favourite newspaper comics, back when that was the only interesting page in the paper heh.

I did like when the artist drew for penny-arcade. I think only once but maybe I’m forgetting another time, but kinda a dr Mario bit (since I think Gabe/artist was sick) thought it was a good guest one.

Rising tide, boats etc. More flippant than I mean, I really do wish we could figure out a more equal society, and I do well enough. If I did worse but more people could not worry, I’d be okay with that too. As long as it was a society wide thing not just working classs gets kneecapped while the rich get richer.

The coincidence is more of a sarcastic comment to me. Like yes it’s a coincidence that Putin knows many arms dealers hehe. Trump was known to hang out with a huge pedophile that had a private island hehe. Etc. Also oddly a lot of pictures show Trump and the pedophile together having fun, how many pictures do you see Trump having fun? Not a lot unless he sees the camera.

Oh an amusing comment about joining other nations where it’s not ‘we will make you one of us’ like our direct neighbors have been making lately, from the dude with no humour whatsoever. Know I’ve said it before on here but will do again, I’ve always felt closer in values and ideals that match the EU. Being a part of EU may help for more policies that help people rather than try and compete with the US. They obviously don’t want consensual cooperation. Unpack the last line as you prefer, probably close enough.

Sure but pictures are always good to show people who may be less than receptive to the obvious of the Trumps social circle. Plus a marriage tends to have a bit more weight, in case there are a few on the fence.

So many of us we? definitely but everyone? No they don’t all know or recognize that fact. So best to pour out all evidence.

That’s why I just read the jist of things and if I decide, ignore it. Course I’m an old fart so like an old fart and just ignore people who say things I don’t agree with (not really I try and take viewpoints into consideration at all times)

Sorry went on a bit but I always take comments with a grain of salt, then have to aggregate them like meta for game reviews to get an idea. Half the random comments have no substance, ignore them. Find the ones that have good points, consider if it’s worth watching…then just do what you want anyways. Only so much time I’m this world.

Though comments give you a rough idea of what’s decent, can’t rely on them in end. Growing up just ended up renting from box covers, way worse than this idea, so premise is interesting? Give it a shot. Can always press stop.

I think even a random office environment may frown upon that sort of behavior. I’m less than social but I do put on my retail front when in an environment with coworkers. Thankfully I work from home now so just need my customer service voice when using the phone heh, wish they’d figure out that email works just as well, 99.9% of the time, sometimes better.

Or relief…no wonder they’re always aggro on film arms can’t reach far enough.

I never watched it growing up but everything I’ve heard about it since I was an adult is great. Never watched much skit comedy outside of kids on the hall and that’s just when not much else was on.

Nowadays I’d say the kids in the hall stuff was much better than other stuff I watched, cause I’m not sure I even remember…some syndicated sitcom I assume, waiting for dinner.

Still recall some of the taglines as little as I saw it, since you were waiting for the next show (possibly Simpsons at one point on cbc).

I always felt closer to EU than the USA ideologically anyways, I just think so much policy was put through due to the US and competing for workers etc. I imagine it’s a bit of a fire sale on good talent from the US though they’d get a number of offers for the best. Taxes make things possible for countries being selfish helps no one but the self which, and sorry if it offends, but that seemed like the core ideology down there. It’s just been taken to the extreme now.

I got to lovecrafian and was sold, I do enoy any journeys into cosmic horror, from a toe dip to what the freaking hell. Still working my way through his stories but From the Mouth of Madness was a favourite movie growing up but I couldn’t quite place why. Then I discovered cosmic horror and had that ‘ahhhh ding’ (holy choir going ahhhhh then ding at the realization second with a light shining…okay I watch a lot of tv and movies). sort of experience.

Also did not realize there was a movie, but I think I’ll end up doing some novel experience before the movie. Been burned way too much the other route and they spoil the best parts for the worst take on the story usually. If not the same here, well it’ll be fun for a change of the movie being a better storytelling (unless I misread / understood the comment sorry reading quickly)

I should really read that if it’s the first part. I knew it existed but nothing else till now. Do enjoy the Dune novels for their philosophy bits (mostly as intro to a chapter as an idea but you can see the ideas used in the actual story sometimes or perhaps all the time and I missed some)

I’ll be honest I wasn’t quite getting the comments cause I didn’t think the middle ages had nearly as clean sheets even being a king…yeah read the same way. Makes way more sense now.
