For many for sure, I still hope others think the proper lessons are good. I mostly cling to that cause I went to religious schools as a kid, parents were not and I am not, but had decent education otherwise. But I did learn Christianity decently and in general has good ideas but they’ve been warped to greedy people’s needs.

Kinda reminds me of the movie Dogma, ideas are good (help people, be kind etc) but beliefs are hard to change. If you got an idea it can be shifted into something better as needs change.

I think if there is a higher power (I don’t really but think it’s a possibility like multi dimensions) they’d like us to understand the spirit of that book, not literal and not use it like a shield for being an asshole.

In the end you are you, if you don’t do stuff cause a book says no, it not cause you are good. If you do good stuff just cause a book says so it’s not good either. Want to be better for the people around you, not what some book says.

I hate short replies that don’t add much (so added more than agreed!) but I’ve always enjoyed being anonymous in forums, I’m quite a shy person.

Okay I went to a private school at one point (yes parents were more well off) the kid that had military rations to share had way better food than we were given. Though we were well fed just not by preference. This was on outdoor stuff not in school stuff we had a kitchen and all there though we did the work (good idea really for teaching).

Any military not feeding their people must be led by one of the dumbest motherfuckers in existence…let’s teach people how to be an armed force and not feed them…sounds like a rich idiot or drunk morning show type.

Ah I get it no worries. It’d be nice if people that had money and power and also understood what the rest of people needed. However I think wishing for a unicorn would yield similar results. Man I can only imagine that life though, not having to deal with the check out lines (yes rich people this is my hope rather than wishing everyone stays poor to fund me, even if I did have to stand in lines, they suck but we all get our turn)

Indeed except the citizens (which I understand those issues for sure no need to mention healthcare and rent etc) keep them in power. Plus the amount that still think it’s actually alright to behave that way with global relations. Really sucks when a world power decided to nose dive into being meh, when they were half decent before.

Maybe a good change, I can’t see the future but sure effs things up for now so some rich people can make more money.

Oh I’m sure it can’t be that big of a deal that it was even mentioned once or twice in history from possibly known leaders or incidents. Sure it’ll be fine, just fine.

I’m not pro American but I do think that people serving regardless of country should be fed an amount that they don’t want to have fight clubs for the last jello pudding. To be fair I think countries should be able to feed everyone to that level regardless what is thought of them, they are people and eating is way up there in our need category as humans.

Bill Gates was never in charge of a country and could be wrong, he was just a lucky CEO. Mean I’m sure he did a lot of work to buy DOS to repackage. Though they did take over development to our current day, for better or worse.

I’d hope whoever is in charge of a country understands the hardship increased prices cause the citizens of that country. It’s not new but it’s noteworthy when a leader is so out of touch with what 99% of people he’s supposed to lead deal with.

I’d like to think anywhere before say 1900s they’d have dealt with such an issue in a way relevant to the times. But we have stories of Nero and Caligula…is Trump going to join their ranks in history? I do hope so, but as a footnote, the worst thing for him is to be forgotten when he’s done.

While hitchhiker’s guide is comedy I think it holds well, people who seek power want to abuse it. People resultant to accept a position may be better to administer.
