  • Nuclear is great. I never said it wasn't. My point is that no storage solution is perfect and communities should have a say in what is stored near them.

  • I'm not anti nuclear by any means. All I pointed out was that people should have a say in something that has the potential to cause health impacts on their communities.

  • For argument's sake, let's say you live near a disposal/storage site.

It's underfunded, so it leaks into the groundwater. Or maybe they don't catch a leak in time. You develop cancer because of radiation because you live close to the storage/disposal site.

It's not an uncommon scenario. Fracking has done this with wastewater being pumped back into the ground (https://news.yale.edu/2022/08/17/proximity-fracking-sites-associated-risk-childhood-cancer), and even places like Whidbey Island in Washington state have dealt with forever chemicals leeching into their groundwater (https://www.whidbeynewstimes.com/news/navy-expands-testing-of-wells-for-forever-chemical/). Yes, we need a storage site, but people should have a say about what is stored near where they live... whether it makes a difference or not.

  • Entire meal? You need some protein.

    Just a snack? That's ok.

  • One Chipotle bowl could be two of my meals, just to be fair. That's $12 there. Add a cheeseburger or nuggets on a cheap menu and we are talking about $20 per day. 20 * 30 = $600, so still a lot.

  • I smoked tobacco from 15-25. Tried several times to quit and finally did. I had to convince myself I hated the taste, so I would only buy the shittiest tobacco possible. Sometimes I'd buy the pouches to force myself to roll my own without a filter, which is fucking gross.

I didn't drink (much if at all) until my late 20s. Having a drink socially is fine and can be a great way to meet new people, so long as you don't overdo it and make an ass of yourself. I still drink and am trying to do something similar to what I did with tobacco - basically only drink the lowest ABV option available, or wine with dinner.

Cannabis is a mixed bag for me. I started young around 13 and smoked heavily until my mid 20s, quit mostly, and now smoke again (but far less than when I was younger). I quit for weeks at a time and may smoke a bit before playing video games or when I complete a big project.

I consider cannabis the least harmful since it isn't very addictive, elevates my mood, and I don't ever "smoke too much".

  • First time I had one of these I was so stressed out. I thought I was about to have a stroke.

  • Leaves are still green for the most part. One plant in the row of three has some yellowing which I have been pruning off.

This is my first year successfully growing tomatoes and they kind of grew wild. Much too bushy and small fruits instead of larger ones.

  • Probably calcium

  • They are watered once a day and the soil dries out in between. Im thinking calcium

  • Jerboa works great. I haven't had a strong urge to check out any other app

  • Interesting video. It seems likely that the trend of young people drinking less will continue. It's so different than when I was younger in the early 2000s.
