I’m an AMD fan so I haven’t ran into that issue. I could see how that is a problem though.

First: Gnome Favorite: Gnome Longest Used: Gnome Least Favorite: KDE Current: Gnome Future: Gnome
Used Cinnamon, KDE, XFCE in the past. Bucking the trend, I think Gnome is fine and does what I need it to do. You do you, though. That’s what is great about Linux.
Pinky and ring finger on my right, pinky, ring finger, and middle on my left.
Would suck, but I’m right handed and could still “grip” things ok.
When I visit Tacoma it’s for the McMenamins Elk’s Temple. Shows in the basement, food in one of the restaurants.

Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•people who take zoom calls in coffee shops are insufferableEnglish
5·11 天前Did this once with a team meeting. There was a guy who showed up 3 minutes into my call and was playing the guitar. I muted myself but when they asked me a question I had to quickly unmute and answer, then mute. My coworker was like “where the fuck are you?”
Yeah I am not sure about Tactics but every other game gives you that option
15 minutes kills you?! How do you get medical attention so quick?

1·14 天前If you can traffic shape cell network data, thats not much different. Everyone has to BGP peer with another network to provide connectivity to other networks. I guess its just where do you prioritize one type of customer traffic over another

Technology@lemmy.world•‘It’s just his AI and my AI going back and forth’: The workplace phenomenon that’s undermining human relationshipsEnglish
6·16 天前I am seeing this more and more at my work. My manager uses it to fill in the gaps of his knowledge. On the surface he seems incredibly knowledgeable, but in a real meeting where he has to speak to his AI generated ideas, he has a dull stare.
Yeah, so we got an automatic feeder that drops kibble at 5am so he goes back to sleep. Problem solved

News@lemmy.world•Billionaire Peter Thiel: The pope is ‘working for the Chinese Communists’
23·17 天前Peter Thiel is a bad person. I don’t know how else to describe him. There are quiet billionaires who are like this behind closed doors, and then there are those that are vocally just bad people. No billionaire is a good person.
I mentioned to a coworker the other day that a spreadsheet of “requirements” were sent over by someone, filled with em-dashes. He had no idea why I was so critical of the requirements, because on the surface they sounded legitimate. I pointed out that the guy who submitted them probably had no idea what half of them were, and just went with the plan submitted by AI.
“But how do you know”… my brother, it’s the em-dashes. Nobody fucking used those in emails, spreadsheets, or whatever prior to AI.

Games@lemmy.world•PlayStation’s Physical Media-Free Future Isn’t Just Concerning, It’s OffensiveEnglish
51·17 天前I haven’t bought physical media in years. I haven’t lost any games by buying digital only. That said, there is something concerning about the ability of companies to take away what you have already paid for, or retire it from a platform.
Once sold, you should have to be able to sell it back - something like “we’re offering you $0.50 to sell your copy of RandomGame2008 you haven’t played in 18 years”. I bet you a bunch of people would agree to that if it was credited to a wallet toward new games. I have a backlog of games I would sell that I bought… on sale… bought never ended up playing.

Struggling through Fallout Tactics right now and having to use the lockers they provide in each bunker, then moving all my ammo/healing/weapons to the next bunker. I CAN’T CARRY EVERYTHING DAMNIT!
