  • Once you acclimate to hotter sauces you can pick out some of the more soft notes. This one has some smokey aspects and I think some maple in it.

  • Definitely hot sauce of whatever type we have. I picked up some ghost pepper sauce from a holiday market the other month that is hot but also kind of sweet.

  • I’m not saying anyone should get a vasectomy assuming it will be reversed, nor that doctors should counsel it that way. It should absolutely be approached as permanent.

My point was narrow in that for people who are done having kids or strongly don’t want them, vasectomy is a responsible alternative to refusing condoms. There are -also- options like sperm banking or sometimes reversal, if you want to take that gamble. Acknowledging those options isn’t the same as recommending reliance on them.

We agree on the issue though: it shouldn’t be treated casually or as temporary. Beyond that, I don’t think there’s much left to argue.

  • I think we're going to have to agree to disagree here. You obviously have very strong opinions about this.

Yes, a vasectomy is meant to be permanent, yet you -can- reverse it. I wouldn't personally consider it a temporary solution, but some people might.

  • You can have it reversed within ~6 years and regain a high percentage of fertility. You also have the option of storing semen for later in a sperm bank.

You have options. Sperm quality also degrades over the lifetime of the man, so saving some from your earlier years may have less chance of genetic defects.

  • You don't want a kid? Man up and get a vasectomy.

Took ~2 days of discomfort afterward and now I'm shooting vegan cream pies all day long.

  • I have had disagreements with people on Lemmy and not been downvoted. People here are more focused on debate and whether you are arguing in good faith.

  • Reddit was going downhill. Conversations are near impossible. You have to agree with the hive mind or you get down voted into oblivion. The monetization of the platform. The gamification of the platform. The AI bot problem.

There are too many to count. Lemmy is still small, and while it has its own problems, is not completely fucked yet.

  • It was raining hard one day we went there and I made my way to the bathroom. There was water seeping in from the emergency exit and pooling all over. I kept thinking "they're going to have to rip this carpet up or it's going to mold". That's the vibe of the place

  • You're only selling it to me harder, haha

I played through Skyrim at least three times, so it's just not the same. Great the first few times, but gets boring. The replay factor is high, but eventually you'll need something new to try, which is why I suggested KCD!

  • Agree on most points here. At least where I am at, there is still one theater kind of like this. $6 movies and reasonable priced snacks/beers. Only problem is the building is literally falling apart.

  • Well said. Focus on what you can influence and realize most things are outside of your control.

  • Open world, massive side quest backlog, skill based progression, crafting, random little "why the heck is this out here...?" moments, a decent stealth system, and generally interesting characters?

Hits most of the boxes for me. I don't think I would consider Skyrim replays ever again.

  • Exactly! I actually enjoyed KCD2 having to sleep on hay piles as a miscreants lol
