  • Something happened recentlyish... there was a time when india and US hegemony were politically aligned then russian war happened and India having far far deeper connection with russia, decided to show their loyalty to them.

Historically, USA has been either pro-Pakistan or pro-India because of the steategic location (next to China) and india pakistan fighting all the time.

Right now, its Pakistan's term to be on "good list".

  • I don't believe there are any "good ones" in openai. I recently learned it was ilya who suggested the "AI is too dangerous" rhetoric to close down openai.

AI as a field has always been about making life better, not making more money. OpenAI has just made this whole thing sour.

  • Will EU use US data more or US will use EU's?

And for what purposes? I wished those ministers would stop and question that

  • Reactionary in politics often means going "back to the good old days". Stuff like back in feudal/monarchy people used to have honor, courage, and respect. We didn't used to exploit nature. People were more happy etc. etc.

When in fact, LGBTQ rights were abysmal, rascism and slavery was the norm in "good old days".

We should criticize the current system and move further ahead not backwards

  • One alternative could be learning how "going about your day normally" leads to the problem that we all are facing.

Another alternative would be participating in organizing event, protests and even engaging in dialogue with other about the situation

  • And buy 40% of global wafers supply causing spike in RAM prices so others can't buy it.

  • I believe it is mentioned under the concept of suht (if im not wrong), another thing that is atrocious in our time are taxes are based on income ie the working class has to pay. Where as, islam preaches wealth tax (in form of zakat) which would work as a good barriers against billionaires. Literally no one needs a billion dollars but somhow it is the norm that billionaires exists and pay little to no taxes but everyone else who do work have to pay ~20-40% in taxes

  • Huh

  • Nobody asks anyone's religeous opinions before acting in a rascist manner. First step is profiling (including race and clothing).

Also you make it sound like mentally challenged people deserve to be discriminated against

  • Yay! Capitalism saved the day

  • But it is though.... AI was started long before computers were made.

AI at its core means "intelligent behaviour exhibited by non-natural/Artificial means". This means that if your OS "intelligently" switches tasks on physical threads on cpu that's AI. If you go to supermarket and the door opens when you go near it, that's AI as well (actually this example was in our intro to AI textbook).

So computers are a special case of AI, so are calculators.

  • Machine intelligence and aritificial intelligence are the same thing. AI just changed its meaning too much i guess. What was AI few years ago, is now machine intelligence.

(Somebody correct me if i'm wrong, i know you want to...)

  • If voting didn't work, you will blame it on corruption or unprecedented times like war or natural disaster.

Its either democracy or some external thing happened, never that voting didn't bring democracy.

And we haven't even touched the subject of legally making it difficult for minority and "unwanted" groups to vote. We also didn't talk about immigrants who live work and pay taxes but are not represented by voting

  • AfD is already #1 party in Germany

  • (In case someone does not get it)

Me: old macdonald had a farm. Vowels in celine dion's name: exists

  • One time i plagerized my name and page numbers according to turnitin

  • Its funny how the blame is on tourists who have to pay exorbitant amounts but not the owners of the property. Its almost like the exploitation of people whether tourists or locals is just the divine nature of our world so it must be the fault of tourists (or immigrants in other places) and never the owning class

  • Why use float when output is boolean?

  • Liberalism is the ideology that says everyone should have equal rights, freedom of speech etc except "bad/troublesome actors".

In practice, bad/troublesome actors can include anyone. This ideology was created in early USA and in britain. And its proponents, on one hand said "equal rights for all" but also had slaves. In britain, liberals supported the subjugation of india because india was "a bunch of barbaric savages who needed to be civilized". Today immigrants or religious minorities are also excluded from these rights under the pretense of national security.

What we have today is neo-liberalism, that extends liberalism to include economic policies such as capitalism, and finance banking etc. (There's probably more to it, but i am a bit rusty in my knowledge about this topic).

  • They didn't become rich by taking smart decisions, they took the ones that made them money. Climate crisis is what it is today because of profit maximization. Certainly, they also live in this environment. They also get microplastics in their bodies.
