  • What do you even mean? I did vote. And just because someone feels ok voting foe someone doesnt mean others do. Are you saying all muslims are the same? Wow.

Edit to be clear, I went out and knocked doors for that election too (2024), but I refused to campaign explicitely for the higher ups, and focused on local candidates I actually believed in. This drives interest up the ticket.

  • I mean, depends on your definition of "talking shit" is. If you would describe what I said as "talking sbit" I think that makes the party way too inwardly focused, and almost "cult of personality" like we see from the republicans.

The good thing about the democratic party is the wide tent and diversity of strategies. We need to be more transparent and proove ourselves since we dont (alway) have millionaire and billionaire funding.

I would not slander Democrats and still encourage voting, but to take a different stance, I cant exactly enourage Palestinians to vote for a candidate that actively promoted the genocide of their people. So its tricky, and open primaries and diqlog really clarify all that.

  • I agree.

And also, itd be great if senators like Bernie, Warren and others, actually called out their "peers" who are obviously blocking progress.

I think my two Senators: Kaine, and Warner are playing a shell game where they go as corporate as they can and still give the appearance of resistance.

And yet I ha e to vote for them until there is a viable alternative. Its just so frustrating the lack of transparency.

  • Maybe, but saying that there wont be elections helps ensure that there wont be elections.

Its the climate doomerism side of climate action. The doomers and the deniers are part of the same coin that gets us no closer to a solution.

  • He's been unstable enough for that, for 9 years

  • I mean, the premise of the post was not about chinese eating dogs, but about a chinese massacre. So it seems appropriate to mention that Haiti is still paying off debts to the french government because they dared to not be slaves.

Sometimes you have to compare similar things, not pretend like oops, China did a massacre, and french are just funny about their cooking.

  • This was a very good episode.

  • Have you thought about a bike bus? A Mile bike ride is very doable if the roads aren't terrible.

  • We really need a nationa1l calling campaign for chuck schumer to step down.

  • Tortaius

    Mexican food!

  • I dont think you read my comment.

  • Here's how it works, and you can lay this to rest.

I am an activist. I am or knocking doors for candidates. That means I'm volunteering my own time and money.

If she isn't willing to come my way on Palestine, why should I spend time and money on her?

That's why she lost. We all voted, but she had no grass support.

  • While we're on about the fediverse, some communities I can't post to. Does anyone know what things I should look at?

Edit: I had to submit 4 times. 3 times I got "problem submitting comment"

  • I tried vpn in China and it didn't work either, so I'm not sure it's regional.

  • How about we start with using those sources instead of generating co2 we have to clean. Tht would be more effective.

  • I really want to see states like Washington harness their state troopers to track down and "block" ice, or protect their constituents.

But maybe thts just came I live in a currently Red state (VA) that is working with ICE.

  • Lol. This take feels really butt hurt

  • We desperately need more doctors, and those doctors need to cost less.

Free college would make a big difference for that.

  • Bbc is?
