  • AI application, for the AI screening, for an AI-written post, for a fake job posting. And each of those AI services is wasting massive resources and still losing money on every query. And like 40% of the economy is based on this.

  • 3 seems like a lot, what kind of group project can I do with 0 friends?

  • =SUM(A1:A4)

Well, I've parsed a billion spreadsheets, and usually it's like 12.3 or something

  • I think Varoufakis has a lot of good insights, but tends to exaggerate a bit for attention. (Attention on himself but also on the issues.) He's one of those figures that overstates the novelty and understates the continuity. But he is useful in highlighting his issues and drawing connections between issues.

  • Did something happen politically?

This has to be bait, right? I hope?

  • That part makes sense I guess. But why are they running a desalination plant in a place with fresh water? Unless the "fresh" water in this case is just anything less-salty than the ocean?

  • The works of the roots of the vines, of the trees, must be destroyed to keep up the price, and this is the saddest, bitterest thing of all. Carloads of beans dumped on the ground. The people came for miles to take the beans, but this could not be.

  • Seems like expropriating the middle class is one of the last (relatively) untapped sources of profit available to the system. There are still a decent number of retired office-workers with maybe $1M in a 401k and maybe half that in home equity. Add in the small business owners and small-time landlords. A lot of the economy is based around siphoning a couple percent here and there out of this group, but at some point they'll get desperate and find a way to take it all at once.

  • I would be shocked if Israel was not boosting this stuff directly. "Anyone against us is an antisemite" is their main defense, and they're very active in manipulating social media, seems obvious they would combine these strategies

  • You read at a 6th grade level? Makes sense if you're 12.

  • the interplay of guilt, shame and sin

    And historically, also debt

Forgiving sin and forgiving debt used to be much more closely related

  • Hmm,

    Jump
  • A picture of my fascist mother who didn't believe all this woke gender propaganda

  • Invasive species of vehicle displacing the native Tacoma all across the region

  • personally I think that's too much gravity

  • Nice! Any copies left?

  • This is obviously nonsense, but it makes sense on an emotional level. People know their parents raised them with a higher standard of living than they can/could provide their kids. When they were kids they had a house in the suburbs, occasional vacations, they ate steak once a week, or whatever, all on one and a half incomes. And their grandparents were even wealthier, they bought a house for $35 on the GI Bill, bought a new car every other year, and raised 5 kids on one income as a highschool dropout. Now they deliver door dash, their wife works in a call center, and if they do have a kid he just sits at home with depression and asks for robux and you can't even afford that and is this all your fault? where did things go wrong? didn't Walmart used to have $3 lobsters, did I imagine that? I just want N64 and cartoons and fruit loops, goddamn even cereal is expensive now, oh look another nostalgia video in my feed.

It's like living in a haze of real grievances that you don't understand and can't articulate, so they just get displaced into anything that comes along.

  • Could also be EST vs EDT.

  • Seriously, can't just call it anti-pro-fascism?
