    Like I said, I feel bad for the businesses caught in the crossfire, but it's better in the long run.

    Yeah it's too bad for the businesses caught in the crossfire, sincerely, but this will actually have a greater impact. If business is impacted, then rich people stop making money. And they can't stand that for even a second, so they start sending DMs to their contacts in politics.

  • I know cops are scary, but white people need to realise their power in a situation like this. Being white gives you like a +80% modifier in interactions with the police. Even just getting in the space and being a clueless white dude asking questions spreads that modifier to allies in proximity, including those being arrested.

    By getting involved you raise the expectation of civility, because our fucking society is racist.
