Switching from a car commute to ebike + train. I don't get pissed off easily, but the traffic where I live can easily get you stuck for over an hour traveling 2-3 miles. And it was just inevitable that I'd finally get home in a shit mood. Biking and chilling in public transit is the exact opposite experience, especially if I manage to catch my usual train. I feel refreshed.
I know a major reason for it is nostalgia, but I just keep going back to my PS2 games over and over. It's unbelievable how good some of those games look on 25 year old hardware limitations. And they still managed to develop games in like a maximum of 2 years.
Almost unfathomable that someone who voted for Trump three fucking times managed to scrounge up some last bits of empathy even for starving kids. Only Americans kids, obviously.
That's still unbelievably common where I live. Some restaurants will have zero vegan options, but you can be sure they'll offer half a dozen clearly marked gluten free items. Come on, you can't spare the overhead for a block of tofu, but you can keep gluten free breads and pastas?
It's worth adding the Philippou brothers to this list. I thought Talk To Me was a very strong debut and Being Her Back fucked me up more than any horror movie since Hereditary.
I haven't seen it, but I think it's funny that Jordan Peele is still getting saddled with "credit" for Him. He put his name all over it, it got critically shat on, and now nobody can tell you who actually directed it.
I would think the popularity of Steam Deck and Proton would lower incentive for developers to make Linux native ports since it's been shown that the Windows version just works most of the time.
It's wild how fast this has turned around. A few years back I tried running my home media server on Linux and quickly ran back to Windows when I couldn't figure out permissions. I assumed I'd never have the patience for Linux. Now I have a Steam Deck and it's the only thing I've played games on for the past year.
Hey, good recs here, but I think you deserve a warning: These games are a rabbit hole and they're long as fuck. If you get really into them like I did, you might be tempted to play all the spinoffs, too. This is dangerous. There's a Persona gatcha now.
Even PlayStation consoles have been used for mass general computing because it's cheaper hardware sold at a loss.
