  • I like cooking a hands-off kind of dinner that takes a while, so I have time to clean or whatever while I wait. If I have to schedule appointments, that happens while I'm on the clock. I wish exercise wasn't such a focused task. Feels like forever just doing one tedious thing.

  • Literally every week, at least one of these things gets sacrificed and then I try to make up for it next week.

  • It's funny because you can switch out "Socialism's fault" for "Capitalism's fault" and it's actually true.

  • Equating all Jews with Israel hasn't improved the global image of Israel. I know, let's try the same strategy with billionaires! Seriously, the bullshit antisemitism cries are only going to actually lead to real antisemitism one of these days.

  • Hype: The Time Quest, a Playmobil Ubisoft Windows game, featuring the most ass sword combat you've ever seen and lots of very 90s 3D platforming. But also some exceptionally charming voice acting, a beautiful soundtrack that did not need to try that hard, and a story that will devastate and inspire the 9-year-old who never got to have a Nintendo playing it for the first time.

  • Is it already time to dunk some more F-18s into the ocean?

  • That what?

  • Be easier to just abolish the whole thing, but libs gotta lib.

  • Ebikes can be incredibly liberating. Since switching that up as my commuter vehicle, I don't stress at all before or after work.

  • Kingdom Hearts, again. I always dive back into my PS2 favorites at least a couple times a year. This one inspired by watching the voice actor of Riku streaming his first playthrough ever of the series. It's been fun watching him discover the context of his own dialogue 20-something years after recording it as a teenager.

  • Annoyingly, a lot of vegan specialty products and restaurants where I live are owned by Israelis.

  • This is the American military base!

  • Methanol gets rid of that gross ass rubber goo? Man, that would have saved me a lot of time scrubbing with alcohol.

  • I can respect this practice, but in fairness, that's like $1000+ of music purchases. Most people can't just drop their $10/mo or whatever it is subscription and suddenly buy all the songs they want to listen to.

  • Genuine curiosity here, what is the point of these guilt tripping headlines? Am I supposed to give any ounce of a fuck what impact I as an individual have on the greater economy? And the WSJ thinks they can leverage that guilt into making Americans buy takeout lunch every day instead of bringing in leftovers, most likely something they're doing out of necessity? Truly, whose opinions are they trying to manipulate with this nonsense?

  • It's not that good. There's armed resistance, but it's almost always done by background characters. As the main character leans towards violence (primarily for revenge and personal goals), most of the supporting cast get real lecturey and moralistic. I don't know how it ends, but it kept looking like maybe the setup to some non-violence redemption arc. I dunno.

  • I admit, the show got me to stick around a couple extra seasons when one of the cast bombs a room full of fascists and the main character reacts by joining the same organization to do more cool shit like that. It doesn't get any better than that, though.

  • This and the motion to ban landlords? I need to start paying attention to these folks.

  • I use Boost and it can switch between accounts and instances.
