  • I felt this way coming from the Midwest to down south. There are plenty of biggots west of the missippi too but folks like the west borrow morons are rare. Down south id hear biggots on the goddamn radio.

At least for the most part, as an outsider, Midwest churches were mostly just seen doing charities (like that's all Jesus asked them do for others...).

  • My first script was in the morowind

  • For fucking real. At least those fatigue mats have become more normalized but honestly it was just workers stealing them from the floor to stand on them.

  • I like that they let they're employees sit. No where does that for no good reason.

Not my cup of tee when it comes to price and selection though

  • Why always scale to 1?

  • Subtlety for sure. The scratch in the back of the mind. The shadow in the corner. What is familiar but wrong, somehow, is worse than blood and guts. The closest to that kind of horror is a war movie.

  • On the opposite side imagine waking up tomorrow with full memories as an alien species, but knowing full well that parts of humanity are planning on their destruction.

You are still "just" you. If you tried to explain it people would probably just think you are crazy.

I feel like a "know your enemy" kind of role where you try and educate people about this other species existence and relate their experiences to each other and hopefully find a synergistic point

  • Was in an abusive long term relationship. I remember as I was breaking out of it suddenly remembering things I was legitimately repressing. I hated that.

I will say though on the idea of the death of the current self, that is sort of inevitable and absolutely neccery for the future you to exist. Kind of like how us now are different people then when we are 5 years old, and that's a good thing, even if our existence at 5 was also a good thing.

  • I agree. If it were dorms it directly apply IMHO but I more so said this because I think we should have explicit protections against this. A dangerous secondary effect to this is now it's a federal building and they can use the rest of the federal governments force to protect it. So it's a serious threat to do this in my opinion

  • I feel like this was the spirit of the third admendment

  • Problem is containers mean OCI/Docker containers for most people, which distinctly are little OSs (the kernel is shared), where serverless creates a common OS stack and application framework as well.

  • I use serverless via knative in my homelab...

  • That was an intentional design choice no?

  • I do agree. I feel like youd need attributes for links to an oracle that actually holds that private data and proof of ID to get some data from said oracle. That could be part of the AP actor data for the professional social media sphere, but I also dont see AP it's self being part of the meet and potatoes of a job application processing site

  • Honestly I prefer a common platform for resumes over repeatably applying over and over

  • If they were real work to begin with why would you pay for AI to replace them?

  • Linkden also handles application and job postings

  • Selectively public. Resumes can include real names, addresses, phone numbers, projects you are in charge or involved in, current employers and position. In other words a treasure trove for social engineering.

  • Time. Your build environment can be potentially compromised. Takes more tools to build then install increase maintance, chances for failure to update, and increase attack surface area.

Removing software can be much harder if not installed by a package manager as well, which can make upgrades a PITA

That said yeah I do it from time to time. Build in one container, install in an other, and you mitigate some of that concern.
