  • Sweet! Ive been struggling to find an option like this!

Anyone have a helm chart yet?

  • A Fig Tree!

  • That is really good point! I would rather see those results myself too.

Its just a average body of text based on the prompt so it can be wrong but is interesting to get a sense of what people behind the firewall do say for this context.

  • Does Rancher's provisioning work well with Hetzner?

i need to mess with infiscal myself still!

  • Just the ones with any back bone willing to stand up to this shit.

  • HIPPA honestly falls into the data protection pillar of zetotrust to me, and my experence in that space was people just got overwhelmed by it. Like old school ip/port security people can wrapped their heads around, but try to introduce the concept that data should accessed just in time of use by authorized people that need to use it and otherwise it should made technically infeasable (i.e. encryption), and bamm they lost all concept.

Like its hard, for sure, but even a little closer to the goal is better then nothing people!

from an org too the incentives are just wack, they almost want enough effort to appear they are doing something to accredited or pass audit but the consequences for the people affected are just way higher then any org has to deal with.

  • I got to listen to a major university talk about getting theit super compute enviroment CMMCed. They sounded like a war vet and still not sure they even got it handlef fully unfortunatly. Though compliance and compSci lab is a hostile mix to handle.

Honestly following CISA, and DISA STIGs seems easier but those are for more descrete systems versus whole IT networks.

Are their anythings like the ComplianceAsCode project for SOX or is it more orginizational compliance?

  • For corperate distros (so anything you need to work and not just want to work, ) SUSE is the last torchbearer of full FOSS.

But honestly thank the community for Debian, Arch, and Guix for keeping the community stuff awesome for the rest of us

  • For better bandwidth Ive been looking at 802.11ah (Long range wireless) but i haven't seen any darknet implentations yet like what you are talking about.

  • This is one reason "real" growth (i.e. adjusted for price inflation) just matters more. Like who cares if we just increased prices and managed to pay for the same anount of things?

  • The NRA even denouced him for the attempted on gun rights

  • An obvious argument for the people that just want to drive cars (in new york fro whatever insane reason) is that this the basically just paying to have less traffic. That plus the reduction in wasted court cases.

  • Making both free at point of use would be ideal to me too

  • When the means by which people live create different interest groups there is conflict. Working class people getting wealthy in an area? Great, more money/resources for jobs to meet their wants and needs. They want the same infrastructure and comminity ammenties as everyone else too, so they will invest in those.

Someone that makes their money extraction value from an area? They likly dont even need to live or think about the area beyond their extraction operation.

  • But markets aren't bureaucracy! /s

For real though, the smaller and more frequent the transaction the more of burden it becomes.

  • Sex and violence (self defense). Just two subjects ive been totally facinated with and when i was younger i could just be a wierdo that talked about either freely, now as adult man, the implied connotations make a lot of people uncomfortable.

Like just because i enjoy the subjects doesnt mean i want to fuck or fight everyone lol

  • Do we have lemmy community for IT compliance? Id actually kind of enjoy that.

What kinds do you deal with? CISA, HIPPA, PCI DSS, etc?

  • I mean i get the move from Java to C. You can make more performant games with C. So thats likely the engineering answer. A chance to remake the code base from scratch, less tech debt, and more performant language.

The problem is its owned by microslop, and they spent more time making it part of their version of the walled garden and adding Epstien's microtransactions to it versuses getting it up to feature parity.

  • I've had calls with them on Zoom as well. They kind of just use whatever the customer wants to use imho.
