I had a manager once threaten to fire me for even mentioning technical debt. He said the CTO was of the same view. I genuinely don't understand why. It’s just denial.
Thankfully both have moved on. Current manager doesn’t understand tech debt but doesn’t question the padding in the estimation.
Saw those subsequently but initially the two most popular were on antitrumpalliance and the shitpost communities, wish I’d taken a screenshot now. Maybe they were against community rules? I’m a relative newbie here so don’t discount user error.
