  • I'm reasonably confident that neither Russia nor China have any interest in Greenland. Primarily because they clearly don't. They could have attacked Greenland at any point in the last 60 years they haven't.

China is primarily interested in the Middle East, India, and Africa and Russia is not currently in a state to be threatening anyone else, least of all NATO.

  • Apparently it's because the US military are always encouraged to follow orders and not think for themselves. Basically the exact opposite to the way that they are betrayed in Hollywood. They even get trained to creeply talk about themselves in the third person.

  • There are millionaires and billionaires in Europe though, so clearly it is possible to have decent work-life balance and still support the excesses of a rich upper class, assuming that's a requirement.

The amount of productivity lost because of paid leave is almost negligible, study after study has shown that people are less productive the more overworked they are. So staff with no time off work longer hours but are less productive for those hours, the end result is it pretty much equals out. If it didn't, the US economy would be doing better then it is, €1 is $1.16.

  • That's my Americans never leave the US. They don't have time. ,

  • Do you even know what we're talking about? Have you ever played any of those games, they are very much in the style of what meta where trying to do.

If you took Meta's description of what the "Metaverse" is and then looked at chatVR it's basically the same product.

  • Sure they do.

Don't worry I'm not going to explain why that makes zero sense, you can keep wearing your fetching tin foil hat.

  • Oh I see so now he's angry at everyone. Not that I think that America should be able to get Greenland but even if I did it's not as if say the UK or France has any say on the matter, so why are they being tariffed?

  • Those are two different things. Tracking the location via cell network just gives an approximate location, anywhere within the cell towers reception area. GPS data doesn't get shared with anyone unless you choose to share it.

If companies want your GPS data then you have to share it with them.

  • I have trouble with the word endorsed. It's not as if being verified does anything other than provide a guarantee that the people are who they're claiming to be.

Personally I think it's great that they are so willingly publicly verified. It will be useful evidence that their trials.

  • I think War thunder should add alien spacecraft. I want to know about area 51

  • Do it. I could do with the laugh.

  • Yeah I really don't see why everyone is upset about this. Should be upset that ICE exists but not but they have an official bluesky account. This is basically the same as going "yep they're real".

This is just more weird Mastodon elitism.

  • The international cabal of chicken farmers is really worried.

  • But those countries that don't agree with you taking over Greenland would be by definition in conflict with the United States. So I doubt there would be any trade happening anyway.

He really is a pudding brain.

  • The product information still needs to be accurate though. You don't need to restrict the use of AI, this falls under consumer protection.

  • we are not responsible for inaccurate product information.

I have half a packet of mints in my car. Going to put them up on eBay and sell them as immortality drugs. Well see how that works out.

  • Wait so everybody in the world is required to just understand US military shipping codes? Assuming that information is even on the delivery package (because you could also just have someone in the US redirect the product after receiving it).

  • You mean like a tripod. It helps for steady aiming.

  • It's like one of my idiot friends who keeps going on about "the feds". The feds in question apparently operate in North Yorkshire. Personally I'm sceptical.
