I was 5 when Pokemon came to the US, so I don't think it's fair to say I remember a world before Pokemon. I have memories from before 5 sure, but nothing that counts as knowing what the world was like. And that's not even counting hearing about Pokemon from my Japanese cousins before it came here.
I also don't think it's fair to say I can't understand how amazing Pokemon are when those games dominated my whole childhood.

The Democrats, particularly the executive leader for 4 years, did nothing with this evidence to root out the pedo rapist ring. My ire against Biden and the Democrats is that they were the only thing that could stand in the way of the fascist takeover they helped facilitate back in 2016 (Trump was Hillary's pied piper). So am I mad at the Republicans and Trump? Of course, they're pure evil. But I'm not ideologically aligned with them in the slightest. The Democrats claim to be ideologically aligned with me but never act on it, taking away my only sector of representation in our government. So yeah, I direct my ire at the group that is supposed to be doing something about this and chooses not to.

Its existence isn't settled science, but I have this too and I've found that Auditory Processing Disorder describes it perfectly. Lots of comorbidity with autism and ADHD, so it's possible it's not a separate disorder but just another manifestation.
But yeah, I can't filter out background noise at all. My brain copes by completely shutting off audio processing when I'm focusing, but it's involuntary and can be pretty inconvenient. I have to read lips a lot when talking anywhere but a quiet environment because I can't separate speech from background noise.
