  • They're going to keep doing stuff like this and they're going to use public outrage to ram through incredible levels of control of the internet. They'll eventually get around to making them stop these machines from doing this but first they'll use the outrage to make platforms responsible for all user content, forcing the entire internet to be tightly censored to zionist, western imperialist dogma as part of this. The current say reddit, facebook, etc regimes where they play whack a mole with anti-imperialist content will at that point look like a bright but quickly vanishing past compared to what this foreboding future holds.

Be so easy to just selectively punish the bad actors and narrowly target them, just like Australia could have just tried to force social media companies to not do abusive stuff in their country, hand over algorithm details for review, that kind of thing but instead why pass up an opportunity to card all internet users behind the guise of keeping children off social media.

In 5 years people in the west will have whiplash of how fast it all happened, much like 9/11 and the security state expansion there. There will be some truly big outrage moment, authentic or ginned up over this and they'll just bulldoze over any opposition and use it as the perfect pretext.

  • The guilty of doing journalism instead of propaganda for the west.

  • They are going to wait at least until domestic chip-making has either reached parity or is within 12 months of doing so unless the US provokes them to it sooner.

Once the west has redundant capacity (in Republic of Samsung, Japan, occupied Palestine, US, Malaysia, other parts of SEA) necessary for its core needs and China does as well, then Taiwan losing all its chip-making capacity because the US blows it up as Chinese troops prepare to land will not matter to either side. The US will sit back, throw around atrocity propaganda and wailing and teeth gnashing about "democracy" being murdered, slap on sanctions, make the EU and other vassals decouple from China to stand up to them (while the US keeps a few hidden supply lines open and profits off them) and so begins Cold War 2.0 in earnest with the carving up of those who stand with the west against China and are looped into their "yard" where if they're not at the table they're on the menu and those who stand with China and/or refuse to be drawn into sanctioning or decoupling from them and maintain neutrality and who the west will seek to punish for being outside its "yard" with its high fence.

I think China has been telegraphing things to the west for a while now because they don't want a desperate west, its back against the wall forced to fight for its essential chip-making. By telegraphing and giving the west time to create chip-making elsewhere when the actual blow falls they hope the west will not fight them with any real determination for it because they can afford its loss.

China's interests are to wait as long as possible to be as strong as possible. At least another 5 years. The west's interests are to force China to re-take it as soon as possible while the west has maximum advantage militarily, economically, etc. Both are hampered by reliance on chips from the island for their plans and the fact that neither will get them in event of a re-taking because the US will blow them up and likely kill or kidnap the top scientists and engineers.

  • And openly bragging that the CIA is conducting operations on the ground from the President's mouth. I mean they are at war. It isn't theoretical, their enemy the US empire is off their coast poking and prodding at them, arming up for an attack, has said it considers their government illegitimate and has made its goals toppling that government and taking the oil. This is a siege situation and harsh measures may be needed.

  • According to another article (RT) the contents of the boxes at this bank are insured up to 10,000 euros.

  • It's extremely interesting to me that the USA is inviting an asymmetrical warfare response from a neighboring country with a lot of potential agents blended into the USA population.

Nothing will happen. Nothing. The people who come here from Venezuela are not die-hard nationalists or communists. They're apolitical or liberal or reactionary and none of them are going to arm up and inflict pain on the USA.

And if they did it would be according to plan, script, and desires of the Trump admin. They would LOVE an actual, factual terrorist attack or extremist group composed of brown foreigners in the US to be able to expand the brutality and scale of ICE deportations under anti-terrorism auspices and reasons. To fearmonger on the news about the dangerous browns who hold "duel loyalties" or no loyalties to the US.

Plain and simple a country that shrugs off mass shootings weekly would not be shocked or moved to action by a shooting spree by a pissed off Venezuelan who is quickly gunned down. The whole thing would be massaged and spun by the media through a racialized lens to the advantage of the US security state and Trump admin policies. They'd cast the shooter as typical of "their type", call them a drug dealer, terrorist, etc.

There is no long history of religious radicalization and the promise of heaven and paradise for blowing yourself up like there is with Muslims, particularly Arabs thanks to groundwork a century ago by Britain and help from local Wahhabi stooges like Saudi Arabia. For all the conspiracy talk of Cuban hit squads for example in the 60s/70s US there's little actual there there and that was another era with actual radicalized, militant leftist groups and people everywhere. The environment today could not be more different. The very existence of such radicals and blow-back is purely because it suits US interests, they use them as tools for regional destabilization, they use them to divide unity, stir up sectarian tensions, strife, genocide, etc to keep an important part of the earth divided, in chaos and easily controlled or at least prevented from utility to geopolitical adversaries. There has been no Afghanistan (80s one) war to create these groups, no deliberate efforts by the US, no regional partner creating the ideological foundations, supplying arms, propaganda books for children, intelligence networks, etc, etc.

So sorry but I just don't see this happening short of the US deploying to Mexico and starting to openly and sadistically mass murder grandmas and newborns and upload the videos of it to the internet in incredible numbers. And even then, we've seen the level of response to the genocide in Gaza, I don't expect the US to explode or be torn apart at the seams by doing that though it might have a moderate insurgency problem.

  • Eh this is a non-escalation because it's the USA.

Sure in objective historical terms this is a further and greater act of belligerence and war against Venezuela, an unmistakable breach of sovereignty on land and an act of war without question.

But because it's the US empire here they get to claim this is plausibly deniable spycraft stuff equivalent somehow to an on the ground spy agent planting a bomb and thus not an escalation despite admitting to it.

That and the whole history of the last 25 years of US drone warfare just casually bombing whoever they want regardless of borders and throwing up hands and assuring people they are not at war with a country just because they're bombing within it (see Pakistan, Syria, large chunks of North-East Africa, etc). That instead they are prosecuting a nebulous war on terrorism or "narcotics" here and thus it's not a state to state aggression is their ridiculous claim.

They get away with this because they don't do it to anyone big and strong enough to punch them hard enough back to regret it and because those who aren't strong enough to stop them aren't going to antagonize the US into focusing its full fury and military might on them by responding with anything beyond words because they don't want a full war with the US and think they can manage the US's targeted but low level and intensity violence against them.

That and those who aren't strong enough to resist don't have the means to stop this kind of thing by shooting down US stealth aircraft anyways because they're undetected or in and out too quickly so their only real option for retribution is a naked attack run on US assets that may not have been directly involved in the operation outside their territorial waters in a way that gives the US a muddied and twisted but acceptable international law and propaganda narrative justification to respond back with full force and open war while claiming they are acting defensively.

  • Climate change alone is going to come in gut punching India like a prize-fighter within a decade and get really bad within 20 years. Add in the built in momentum, cash, looted goods, cultural hegemony, etc, etc of the west and I just don't see India displacing it short of a catastrophic happening like the west nuking itself or getting nailed by an asteroid that somehow doesn't devastate the rest of the globe as well. Fact is US has first mover advantage. They have the money, networks, cultural and social cachet to buy off Indian comprador bourgeoisie in at least some small numbers, reverse isn't true.

What worries me is not the US or India winning in such a unwarranted match-up but the US and India teaming up to the extent that they harm China and hamper the rest of the world enough to delay their independence from the west long enough for climate change to come in and fuck up most of the global south to such an extent that the west comes out the winner this century and China no matter how well it advances is unable to free the rest of the world in time before barbarism settles in driven by climate change.

  • This is just basic abusive SO tactics from the US, it has no intention of leaving.

This whole thing is just to whip NATO into shape. They can't take on China's manufacturing capacity or couldn't in say 2019.

This whole threat of leaving and 'Russia, Russia, Russia' is just to get Europe to strip out their social safety nets (no higher bar that's white enough for Americans to compare their increasingly even more dire capitalist living standards too) and to get arms production ready so that in 2030-2035 the US and NATO will be able to sustain a war with China (and maybe Russia too in their minds).

  • The sad thing is 98% of liberals who see this will ignore that part, brush it off if you bring it up, dismiss you as a tankie and come away from this just more convinced with one more piece of evidence in their mind that it was a violent massacre of thousands of peaceful people by an evil, violent regime so terrible one of its own military officers defied it. They'll file it mentally right next to tank man as evidence that the Chinese were so brutal and ruthless their own troops hesitated or refused to obey their commands and were surely secretly murdered afterwards.

  • Please stop being mean to deep cover Chinese agent Chang. His carefully crafted whispering of finely tuned deceit into the ears of the anglos delayed their response and aggression against China at least once if not several times and bought China years of unimpeded development. All of you will some day apologize at his state funeral for his service in creating the Chinese century.

  • German Communist Party's Bank Account Terminated

The DKP's party bank accounts have been terminated, the bank said it was due to "outside pressure". This is part of a wave of un-personings and sanctionings of individuals by the German state who are anti-imperialist including prominent pro-Palestinian activists as well as anti-Ukraine, pro-Russia-rapprochement far right parties.

In February of 2024, then-Interior Minister Nancy Faeser unveiled a 13-point plan aimed at tackling right-wing extremism. Among other points, it included provisions that would make it easier for German authorities to freeze extremists’ bank accounts, as well as to track donations to such entities.

What a shock that legislation purportedly targeting the right is used against the left. Morgenthau continues to be right.

  • Online tip. With respect anyone could have done this.

Filled in the fields with public info like the date of birth, perhaps a correct cell phone number, perhaps a wrong one, email account, residential address, etc. Unless there's some follow-up there's no proof his actual brother actually did this. If his brother wanted to do it I feel he could have done it over the phone or in-person as opposed to this, it wouldn't leave any less of a paper trail. This was 3 years after Epstein's death too so plenty of time for someone to fabricate this for 4chan style lols, as some other prank or for other reasons such as political ones (seething liberals, Bill Clinton trying to throw off his own trail). I find it less plausible his brother would come forward after 3 years and do it via this particular means. I mean if he had solid info he could have come to the FBI or some other law enforcement and given a statement. If he feels he'd be killed for it then why submit this tip at all without any information that might lead to anything further.

  • And at that point all you can do is undermine and destroy their trust in "reputable" western "news" organizations by hammering home their lies on the genocide in Gaza, their omissions, their distortions, and so on and that may not work because the western liberal will squirm and say 'oh but that's just this one instance, this isn't a pattern' and then you have to do the hard leg-work of digging out bad takes and bullshit from other instances and years (like the Bush years) and again some amount of bad faith liberals will squirm and say they're not ready to throw them away entirely.

The person has to be willing to be Neo from the Matrix, they have to be willing to bravely question the foundations of their reality and truth. Sometimes you can easily drop some truth bombs and examples of distortion and completely rattle someone free of the chains, other times they'll resist and resist like John Nada's friend in "They Live" and you sadly lack actual truth sunglasses like exist in that movie to force onto their face.

  • Them: This proves Russians literally caused conservatism and reaction in America. Before this Russian interference American Republican party members were normal humans who totally didn't have abhorrent, vicious, anti-intellectual, fascist, oppressive views and drives.

Me: At most this shows maybe (maybe but probably not) Russians are trying to do some minor steering of a very heavy ship called American reaction. They didn't build it, they can't turn them into communists via this kind of posting but they can make some money, encourage some position softening towards Russia. Liberals find this abhorrent because they are Nazi Arming Terrorist Organization supporters and find any lessening of support for the militarist expansion of that group or indeed any concern for the concerns of a large civilization with a nuclear stockpile as unacceptable because they are rank, violent, unreasonable, bloodthirsty imperialists thanks to their own exposure to domestic, CIA, State Dept, White House, Atlantic Council propaganda.

Fact is these hypothetical Russians doing most of the posting (let's just grant them this is true for argument's sake) didn't make conservatives hate gay people, they didn't make them want to oppress trans people, they didn't make them racist against black people and supportive of white police brutality against them, they didn't make them support the interests of the bourgeoisie, they didn't make them want to cut social services for poor people, they didn't make them want a Christian supremacist nation predicated on oppression of all non-Christians. They didn't make them support pedophiles and abusers. They didn't make them science deniers. All they are allegedly doing is trying to make some amount of the group of bloodthirsty reactionaries less supportive of imperialism than they were during the neo-con era. One might say there are organic, domestic impetuses for this among the conservative movement as well after all the fallout of the Bush years and the war on terror and the changing economic situation pushing them anyways towards a kind of white supremacist isolationism. This is not even a bad thing and the real question for liberals is why are all of you supporting the militarism and imperialism you opposed during the Bush era when those uncouth neo-cons from Texas were doing it?

  • It gives both Russia (never signed a formal peace treaty with Japan, still technically at war, has land disputes with Japan currently settled in its favor but which Japan refuses to give up on) and China the legal rights to nuke Japan off the face of the earth, claim it was the only way and walk off scott-free. Fascists never learn.

The thing about Japan too is its' a US vassal. But the US thinks they're clever so could have them develop nukes, orchestrate a situation where they end up using them on China, get hit back hard in the face and China is left reeling and limping while Japan is finished and a martyred cause celebre for the west while never again risking being a competitor. So there is a very real risk and problem with them having nukes that doesn't exist in nations that are independent, no matter how deranged their leadership may be their ultimate goals tend to involve survival of their nation.

  • Honestly that account really looks like an actual:

  • And the calculus of the US is: when they don't get it back and when they do it again Chinese buyers will stop buying Venezuelan oil as too risky at which point the money to Venezuela dries up, that leads to cuts to services, leading to unrest, leading to opportunity for coups, fomenting images of unrest to use as a pretext to invasion in western media, or at the very least securing control of global oil resources even further in the hands of the US via its gulf proxies.

China doesn't have a deep water navy to stop them and probably is disinclined against picking a fight with the US at this point and that far away from home anyways. Russia isn't going to stop them and probably couldn't afford to divert its resources right now with a push for Ukraine around the corner even if they were so inclined.

  • BRI is in no way defused

At the US's pleasure. Never make a move until you're ready or you give your enemies time to adapt. They have absolute operational freedom to shut it down at a snap of their fingers. The overland routes anyways and US/NATO navy was always stronger so they planned on some sort of seaborne interdiction regime. Attacker always has an advantage in that situation as you as defender have to either group your cargo ships up into huge, unprofitable, logistically complex conveys escorted by at least one navy ship or you have to play chasing around the attacker and trying to drive them off over vast stretches of ocean. Costs for attacker and defender are also in advantage of the attacker. They can be anywhere so you're forced to spend money and resources anticipating and defending everywhere whereas they may only pop up one or two places in actuality. China's navy even now is still mostly structured for defense in the SCS region, not for going out and projecting power deep into the Indian and Pacific oceans off the coast of Africa.

As to how. Yes the US probably can't cut off their route to say India (who wants to take China's industry and replace it as a producer for western consumers so not a great situation to be in) without terrorism but their middle and southern routes are both running through countries that are US vassals in ways that matter and will heel when the US calls them to cut it off. There are several key points I think around Azerbaijan and that general region where China's rail/road network can be easily cut off without even resorting to special forces placing explosives which the US is absolutely also prepared to do and will bring down bridges and so on without a second thought once the moment arrives. Anyways several key transit countries are in the US pocket and mean the B&R to Africa and the middle east are cut off. Routes through CIS/Russia are not particularly helpful as Europe is an obedient dog and if US tells them to sanction Russia further by not buying any Chinese cargo that transits they'll do it and for their own reasons of liberal delusions will want to decouple from China once US instigates against it (provoking a response in Taiwan that lets them sob about 'democracy' and make it into a Ukraine type cause celebre even if it falls right away) as well as whipping up the old Tibet and Xin'jiang saw-horses of atrocity propaganda.

I suppose India could surprise me and decide to side with China and help it export its cargo to get around such a blockade and that would indeed be game over for US plans but I'm not convinced that will happen given who runs India and its own interests. One can hope the US is foolish enough to blow things with India even worse than they have but good plans rely on worst and plausible case scenarios not best case scenarios as those hardly need plans at all if everything goes your way.

US still has a lot of cards to play. A lot of pawns to forcibly throw on the fire as kindling to increase their own advantage, a lot of loyal lapdogs sitting at their feet or admiring them from a distance, a lot of dirty tricks and a lot of experience in doing them. They will still be a threat to China and the world for decades to come sadly. Right now US is regrouping, re-consolidating power, licking some wounds and planning to leap out furiously in the next 2-10 years to seize the world again. Lot of color revolutions, lot of palace coups, lot of "moderate rebel" and ISIS types they can cause to occur in that time to change the landscape. I'm not saying it'll go all well for them, I certainly hope not but there are a lot of challenges and it looks to me like rough seas ahead.
