  • I’d say there’d be an increase in overall leather consumption by having a strong second-hand market. Really not trying to dissuade people, you do you, but wanted to call out that things that hold onto their value in resale tend to be more desirable and could increase new sales.

    This is just my made up take, i know nothing about leather, markets, or vegans.



















  • Yeah I was going to say that it didn’t sound like an IoT issue. I do think modern appliances have way too much computer in them because they are prone to failure, and as soon as the OEM stops making the board from your specific machine, you’re basically fucked when it comes to repairs.

    When my samsung range died I found a guy halfway across the country on some appliance forum that specialized in repairing their boards and it bought me an extra 4 years, but then some other chip failed.
