  • Get a password manager. It's a lot more secure and easier to only have to remember one strong main password and have the rest randomly generated

  • The main bottleneck in training new doctors (both MD and DO) is that federal funding for medical residency slots have remained mostly unchanged since 1996. Some hospitals have been able to pay for extra slots out of their clinical revenues, but they'll be facing more financial pressures because of the Big Beautiful Bill.

  • The majority of US federal agriculture subsidies go to corn production, the majority of corn production is for live stock feed. Anybody who brings up spending that money on vegetables or basically anything other than corn gets silenced pretty quick

  • Spongebob knew what was up

  • We have an 11 year old rescue pup from Puerto Rico, he's a really good boy. They kind of have their own breed going on on the island. We DNA tested him and he's about 1/3 Chihuahua, 1/3 "super mut", and then like small portions of a dozen other breeds. He loves laying outside all day on the hottest days of the year.

  • So one week off per year?

  • If you're interested in energy efficiency, here's a great video from Technology Connections!

  • Hmm I wonder which power source may be best suited for dry and sunny areas with abundant land available

  • There was news today that the Senate is considering cutting Medicare in addition to Medicaid, as well as news of major changes to how science funding is sent out to researchers. Also the travel bans for foreign nationals from certain countries.

  • Propublica is an excellent nonprofit investigative journalism organization. They have a strong track record of holding powerful companies accountable and achieving real world results/consequences. They often partner with local news organizations to help give them good content and there's never a paywall either.

  • Agreed, birch leaves are serrated, these look like beeches

  • I really like the Yoga with Adrienne YouTube channel. She has a large variety of yoga and strengthening exercises from super low impact to intense workouts.

  • We really like our Ioniq 5 for longer road trips, the new models come with an NACS port too. The lack of good CCS chargers has a draw back, but now it seems a simple adapter can enable supercharging with NACS

  • This is why. Republicans in Congress are planning to take "at least" $880 Billion over ten years out of Medicare and Medicaid to pay for extending tax cuts for the wealthy. There are also ads in the opposite direction raising alarm about this. They say they'll make the cuts without reducing benefits, and by that they generally mean they're going to pay doctors even less for caring for those patients.

The Coalition to Strengthen Healthcare has some resources to facilitate grass roots advocacy if you're interested!
